May because many conservatives including Rush Limbaugh (El Zibo) want a stronger opponent against McCain in the general elections and they know that Barack will be soundly beaten by McCain whereas Hillary Clinton has over 50% chance of winning the Presidency.

It is - indisputably, hands-down - less than 50%. More than half the country can't stand the woman!
