Terror from Gaza: No Nation Would Accept What Israel Faces

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon spoke to his nation the night after Israeli soldiers began removing settlements from the Gaza Strip and implementing their prime minister’s historic Disengagement Plan in 2005.

“The world awaits the Palestinian response – a hand offered in peace or continued terrorist fire,” he told his countrymen and the world at large. “To a hand offered in peace, we will respond with an olive branch. But if they choose fire, we will respond with fire, more severe than ever.”

This is the context from which the world should view the heinous upswing in terror being perpetrated against Israeli civilians in recent weeks. Memories are fleeting, especially those of journalists and world leaders, but it should not be forgotten that it was just over two-and-a-half years ago that Israel made a historic, painful and bold move for peace.

Israel is saddled with a government that protects terrorists on the one hand and negotiates with them on the other hand.

Terror from Gaza: No Nation Would Should Accept What Israel Faces

There; I fixed it for them.

At least in a rational world.
As President Bush so often points out, the primary role of any competent government is the safety, health and welfare of its own citizens.

NOT hangwringing about what other, less competent countries think of what the leadership might or might not do to discharge their duty.

Treat the enemy ruthlessly. One needless civilian fellow-citizen death is worth more more than the lot of them.

I agree “To a hand offered in peace, we will respond with an olive branch. But if they choose fire, we will respond with fire, more severe than ever.” Otherwise there will be blood, not mine, theirs!!!

If it was us, the USA, we would have smoked them and chased them out a long time ago. Instead Israel has shown tremendous amounts of restraint.

I am afraid that we too are heading in the same direction. DO you see Hillary smoking anybody out? Or Obama, who is for unconditional negotiations with the tyrants?

No I do not. Instead I see what my brother who is a Force Recon Marine toldme last night. If either of the democraps win the Presidency, it will be the beginning of a dark time for the Armed forces and America.

G-d bless your brother for serving the country, and your parents who raised his children to be true Americans.

What? Do you think she has changed since Waco? She and her boyfriend Janet dreamed that one up “for the children”.

Do you think she has changed since Waco?

Of course not, certainly not on the inside. People like she, her husband, and Reno are brave only when they fight defenseless citizens (or, perhaps, bomb from the air the Serbs).
