Oh, got it, Altar Boy. You attack me instead of responding to the other posters on the thread. I guess you didn’t want to talk about the legalities of the parish, or the hierarchy and its standards, after all.

You just wanted to whine about what a good Catholic you USED to be before you found the light. Somehow, that just does not follow.

Okay. I’m happy for you. It’s a free country. Worship as you please. But don’t pretend your precious St. Stan’s apostates are some kind of heroes. They’re nothing but losers. And they will lose even more.

The godless works of Marx lead directly to the death of 100 million souls.

THAT is the message.

I never have defended the priest! I am commenting on the parish and the congregation. They have a desire to continue to be a congregation and the Archdiocese is planning on dissolving that for the sake of money. I find this to be disgusting!

The congregants should slide on down to Lowe’s, stock up on power tools and lumber, and build their own church.

The acts of despot leaders like Lenin & Stalin resulted in the deaths of millions not an author named Marx. If we use your logic, religious writings have resulted in the deaths of many more deaths than these two are responsible for.

St. Stan’s made an appeal to Rome. They lost. They can’t handle it—what do you think they’re concerned with? Souls? Balogna. They want to control the money, not let the hierarchy control it under the same rules as all the other parishes.

They want rules unto themselves, no matter what the rules of the diocese are. They think they are a special case, no matter what Rome says. And they expect Rome to change all the rules for them, let them be an exception. That will not happen, and I commend Abp Burke. Again.

Marx is the architect of the totalitarian machine built by Lenin and driven by Stalin.

You might want to get a better education before you respond again. Learn your Russian history! Marx wrote a book on his ideas of communism. Despots like Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky changed it into the vial rule of the Soviet Union. Marx was a writer and political activist. He was not even alive during the Communist revolution.

(“Religion is the opiate of the masses” Karl Marx)

This is one of the most ignorant remarks and beliefs of the godless atheist conglomerate, those who deny the existence of God and always talk of evolution, spiritualism, and love of money and power as good and blame all the worlds problems on ignorance, they themselves being ignorant in the arrogance of pride and lust.

Religion is the creation of MAN. Faith in God is exercised by man and requires no consent!

dissolving that for the sake of money

Sorry, Burke has never said that the parish would be closed (though if you visit this getto, you might believe otherwise). This parish is merely being told to conform to the way of all parishes within the diocese. Their "desire to continue to be a congregation", is not and never has been the issue.

[courts have adjudicated responsibility directly to the Archbishops for their responsibility in the molestation cases from around the Country? Millions of parishioners donations have been squandered by their inaction and obfuscation. Don't you think they bear responsibility and in fact are in schism for this?]

Of course they do but the guilty always claim innocence and if allowed will pursue the same course since justice is not done by those responsible to correct them.

I’ll match my education against yours any day of the week, Chester. The fact that you respect Marx is proof enough that you don’t know jack squat about totalitarianism, history, philosophy, etc.

I don’t think you’re very well read either. No avid reader would confuse vial with vile (unless you think the Soviet regime exercised it’s power using small glass vessels).

I am not familiar with the situation at St. Stan. However,
Archbishop Burke has established credibility defending Catholicism.

And in my nine years of participation at FR, I can easily state that
Freeper Petronski has credibility as a knowledgable Catholic
Freeper Judith Anne has credibility as a devout Catholic

A poster providing and defending a Marx quotation does not have credibility.

For the record, I have walked the grounds and seen the parish. And yes the Archbishop HAS stated he will be closing the parish.

Is our misguided Marxist (redundancy alert about redundancy!) making stuff up?

Agreed. They must be members of the socialist political party, the democrats, as well as ultra liberals of the worst sort, that is, they do what is right in their own eyes without respect of God and His Word. Many religious people who don’t believe the Word of God are ultra liberals and are trying to steal the monies of the denominations they attend.

“Freeper Petronski has credibility as a knowledgeable Catholic

From some of their responses today, I find it difficult to know what a devout Catholic is. I believe in my faith in God and also the fallibility of humans. None of us can espouse to be devout to God by supposedly following the rules of other men.

You mean like criminal codes and private contracts?

Chester, are you an anarchist?
