I have no idea why she did this, but I have noted in my life that some of the worst depressions happen when people accomplish too fast.
The worst thing that can ever happen to anyone is to accomplish their greatest dream, and find it doesn’t change anything. For years its, “if only I get that house” or “have a baby” or “get that job”, and then when they get it, it doesn’t make them happy. That’s crushing, and some people find they are lost.
