I just got this in email this morning:

Red, White and Blue Rolls Over Berkeley
Eagles Up Leads Effort to Show Support for 'Lightning Rod" Marine Office
BERKELEY- Grassroots group Eagles Up will muster Saturday in Berkeley to pushback against the anti-American antics of the City of Berkeley and its anti-military minions, while showing overwhelming support for U.S. Marines.
Hundreds of patriots on motorcycles are expected to roar into town from around the western United States, while other true Americans roll into Berkeley to stand with the bikers at the Marine Recruiting center on Shattuck Avenue.
"We expect a massive crowd to send a message to the city of Berkeley, Code Pink and any other anti-military group that Americans are sick and tired of their hateful, dangerous behavior," said Doug Lyvere, Eagles Up (website: www.EaglesUp.us) organizer.
Melanie Morgan, popular radio personality and chairwoman of Move America Forward (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org) and Catherine Moy, MAF's executive director, will address the crowd assembled Saturday to show support for the Marine Corps officer selection office that "peace" protesters have attacked. Move America Forward is the nation's largest pro-troop organization and has been on the frontlines against the anti-war crowds harassing our Marines in Berkeley.
"We encourage all American patriots to stand with Eagles Up and the Marines," Morgan said. "I hope to see Move America Forward's supporters at the muster to show our love and support for our troops."
Eagles Up led a march last week in the nation's Capitol to counter demonstrations planned by antiwar groups.
Radical group Code Pink has protested at the Marines office since at least October, when MAF first staged a counter-protest. On January 29th, the Berkeley City Council gave Code Pink a free regular event permit, sound permit and reserved parking for their protests. The City Council also called the Marines "uninvited" "Intruders" and has refused to apologize for the slander.
The mayor has expressed a willingness to extend similar rights to other organizations, but only for recurring protests of the Marine office. Move America Forward's request for similar rights to protest the city council were denied, and EaglesUp is paying for the permits for Saturday's events.
Many patriotic motorcycle groups are expected to attend and stage formal rides to and from the event, which will feature speakers at noon.

When I watched the interview in the ABC link above, it seemed to convey that MAF would not counter-protest when the anti-American crazies stage an event in front of a Military Recruiting Office in order to not incense the mentally deficient crazies to more foaming at the mouth spewing.
I do believe the office could be normally closed on Saturdays, but I don't know.
If it is open, the rally tomorrow should make it easier for people to go in and enlist.
This is one of several offices in the Bay Area, and sometimes it is closed on a normal business day as the recruiters are at another office.
The Berkeley City Council is only charitable toward groups protesting the Marine OSO. Troop Support groups are out of the question in their biased anti-war/anti-military approach.
Out of curiosity, what is the cost of the permits in Berkeley? Can you insert a "Pay Pal" button for donations in this thread? It might generate funding from supporters who can't be there.
I'm thrilled to know that some of our MCL members plan to be there. There will also be some bikers who learned of the Rally from the sign posted in our store window. Watch for MO tags. :)
Take lots of pictures! Wish I could be there to stand with all of you, and I'll be there in spirit.
Due to family obligations (and it is blessing not burden), I will be unable to attend today. But know this event in Berkeley today has been prayed for in the FR thread below and in my personal prayer times since Doug sent out the first email several weeks ago. With the action in Berkeley especially in mind the Lord had me post a new prayer this mornig. In addition, throughout the day I will continue to cover this in worship and prayer from the homefront. By the way, I also had the privilege of meeting Captain Lund back in October when a friend and I went behind Code Pink lines and without wasting our time engaging them, we simply took gifts into the recruiting station. As only God could have set it up (and in direct answer to my friends’ prayers) one of the SF television news crews was filming an interview with Lund and then covered our delivery of the gifts on the nightly news showing the Marines DO have supporters! Lund is a great man and the article he wrote the following week superbly written. He and his family are in my prayers as well.

May God’s presence be a mighty covering there today. Can’t wait to hear how it goes!
God bless America. God bless our troops. God bless those who support them!
