I am annoyed already.
Perhaps because it originates from Manhattan.
Perhaps because there already enough adjectives to describe these people.

In other words: a new acronym for “limousine liberal”

And when the economy hits the crapper, these “scuppies” need to learn a new line...”would you like an almond biscotti with that latte?”

When the economy hits the crapper it will be up to use unwashed in the middle of America to help them survive on Christian chairity (becuase most wouldn’t have a clue how to survive on their own-hunt, budget, and generally have personable relations with the rest of non-Athiestic stuck up middle America-especially when we live in the south, mid-west and west ;)!

Perhaps because there already enough adjectives to describe these people. Some real colorful ones, too.
The ex-hippies who went out and got theirs and then suddenly decided they were "socially-conscious" again in 2003 so they could re-live their past by screwing up the Iraq war are EASILY the most destructively-stupid people America has ever produced.
They're getting old, though, and that's GREAT news!

I've long since forgotten who first observed this back in the 1960s, but it rings so true today: "Show me all these 'revolutionaires' of today and I'll show you nothing but a bunch of lazy bums who want a cushy job so they can boss other people around."
Best damned summation of the limousine liberal set there ever was.

David Brooks’ Bobos (bourgeois bohemians);
Different name, same old story of Godless, cognitive dissonance of Western wealth. They end up contributing nothing that is worthwhile or meaningful. (Yawn) The only exciting part about this group is that they will be the first to be slaughtered, as they refuse to grow beyond themselves, to understand the savagery of man.
I am a very weak Christian, because I cannot help but delight in fantasizing about the above.
