I thought that was Barkley, too...and it might explain why he said he was on the campaign trail.

Didn’t “Carl” on 2nd hour near the end... .. didn’t he sound like Charles Barkley?

That was my first thought...’Sheesh, that’s Barkley!’ Sent off a quick email to El Rushbo, saying so. What clinched it for me was ‘Carl’ from ‘Philadelphia’. Charles Barkley started his career, and gained his fame as the ‘round mound of rebound’, in Philly. Pretty lame, Chuck.

Rush just talked to Charles Barkley, calling as Carl. I make that guess based upon the voice ... wanna bet? OH! and Sir Charles is an Obamasan sycophant. I have Rush 24/7 and just listened to the conversation that Rush had with Carl again and I think you're right...

Me too! ... and DH as well! DH has been doing a lot of reading since retiring last year. The first book he read since retiring, was David McCollough's "JOHN ADAMS" and he loved it! Since then, he's read a number of others dealing with that period in history. He's loving every bit of it. As for the "John Adams" miniseries, I first learned of it from a poster at the local Post Office. I was so excited and couldn't wait to see it! However, we don't subscribe to HBO and will wait to catch the other episodes when the DVD collection comes out.
Yes these were incredibly brave, courageous, honorable people (most of them!), and especially John and Abigail Adams! I think Paul G. and Laura L. are doing them great justice in their portrayals. And I'm so grateful for writers like David M. who has brought these great Americans' stories to life!
