I was the editor (the cutter of pictures and sound) and proud to be a part of this program.

This could be good or bad depending on your political bent. Care to expand on this?

You were expecting something else from PBS?

Oh please...we have clearly determined via the posting history that the only time this person posts is to advertise his Bush hating PBS films once a year. Grow up.

There is nothing wrong with FilmCutter only posting once a year to advertise his films. He clearly states his relationship to the film. This film concerns a topic that is much discussed here at FR. We can all decide for ourselves whether his post is of any value or not.

I reject the idea of people's posting history being combed to determine if they are "worthy" posters. Was his original post on this thread of any value? Why or why not? It has absolutely nothing to do with anything he has or has not previously posted.

Yes, there is something wrong with them posting advertisements...it has never been permitted on FR and you have been here long enough to know that. They have never posted anything but a once-a-year “look at my film” post which means they are clearly here for the advertising value, nothing more. It has nothing to do with what you or I consider “worthy”...they’re not our rules to change, this is JimRob’s house.

I agree with your comments Confused. I rarely, this may be the first or second time, ever look up posters posting history. Since the lin k was posted I did so for FilmCutter. I saw nothing objectionable or even mildly ‘suspicious’ there. Looks like a reasonable ‘Joe’ in my eyes.
