Cool!! Thanks DrDeb!
Hi there are some great photos tonight
What is the story
My pleasue :o)
all i’m getting are the dreaded red x’s for the white house photos
Fine by me I hopefully will be in a postion to do them tomorrow
Strange they are all loaded on the same server
“Greta...it’s not all about you, your shares of GB, your ability to paint...etc., etc. sheesh...you’re takin’ pages out of Hannity’s playbook.”

You noticed that too!!! [Couldn’t agree more about Hannity!]
Thanks for the link to the Egg Roll. It was cute and the
president and first lady seemed to be having as much fun
as the kids did! :D
They are an AWESOME family! You Betcha!
His answer was really profound, and I learned a lot from few words...
He said, "In order to be interesting, you must be interested."
Greta only seemed interested in Greta's likes/dislikes.
Troy Aikman reading Dr. Seuss. Doesn’t get much better than that, lol. Thanks for the Dose and the great photos.
LOL! Jenna sure gets into the story, doesn’t she?
I think maybe her style is very similar to that of British presenters on magazine type programs where they get involved in whatever event they are reporting on and share experiences to draw out comments etc including some partiscipation such as the painting.
Maybe this type of presentation is too English and to Americans comes over as being all about yourself.
I agree that a technique of interviewing is listening and appearing interested in what the other person has to say to draw them out but this I feel is more appropriate in cases of abuse or crime or more hard news, I am used too and find Greta's technique with this story appropriate for me maybe a cultural difference between us?
I did not see the interview.. but often when the reporter starts interjecting personal info (esp in a short interview) it tends to dilute the person being interviewed.
More or less implying -—.. “well, that is no big deal, you see, I have also done it” -— mentality.
Thanks for the great pix.. the White House Egg roll ones were a nice break for the president.. a reminder *as if he needed it* ... this is what I am working hard to protect & preserve..
Appreciate all your work Eleanor
However, I found that when I applied hubby's theory to my interviewing, I asked less wordy & more open ended questions and the viewers learned more about my guest.
Thanks for your insight! I'm really glad you told us about this.
I used to tell hubby, I was just enthusiastic about the topic and wanted to share. He used to tell me...”Well, it doesn’t come off that way.” I was shocked, until I saw the tapes of my doing so. That’s when I started asking for his suggestions.
