NEW TAMPA -- Mary Jo Spack. Married 13 years, mother of four kids.
At 38, she graduated USF's School of Education with honors, and became an Honors English Teacher herself at Freedom High in Tampa.
By all accounts, a teacher's teacher.
"Excellent teacher, spotless record," said Hillsborough District spokeswoman Linda Cobbe. "All the evaluations I saw she had the highest marks you can give."
A perfect record that's now tainted.
Tampa Police say Spack had sex with a 17-year-old male student in the shower of a Howard Johnson motel room while four other students listened in.
Police say she also bought the teens alcohol.
"We're searching for explanations. We can't reconcile it with the person we know as a teacher," Cobbe said
Spack's reviews are positive, glowing even. "An excellent teacher," "team player" reads another, "Goes above and beyond."
"My first thought is I was absolutely sickened by it," said Hillsborough School Board Member April Griffin. She said it's time the courts got tougher on this type of crime.
"This is a crime. These are people in a position of trust. That, to me, is the ultimate betrayal," she said.
Griffin says the fact that four teachers now charged this school year alone -- two in the last week -- is unacceptable.

as posted on other thread, it would be best to see a non-booking photo before passing judgement. But the odds aren’t in her favor.
She was unanimously found guilty last week and should have already been executed!
So "team player" on teacher evaluations equates to "enjoys orgies"?

I think the jury needs time to deliberate and weigh the evidence. Oh wait, the scale just broke. Guilty.
