Here is Sen. John McCain on March 24, 2008 asking when Sen. Hillary Clinton will apologize to Gen. David Petraeus for her remarks last year ridiculing the idea that "The Surge" strategy in Iraq was working. McCain also said both Clinton and Obama are advocating a policy of "disaster and defeat" in Iraq. . .

Good move, John! Didn’t think you had it in you! Good timing, too, with Gen. Petreaus due to testify before Congress. Stick her with her own words.

It would be good to see more about this.
The surge is working, and many predictions about Iraq eventually stabilizing are coming true. McCain went way out on a limb at the time in supporting this, and is entitled to ridicule opportunists such at Sen. Clinton.

I'm waiting for when McCain will apologize for McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Edwards, Gang of 14, Juan Hernandez, throwing all those conservatives under his Doubletalk Express bus, et cetera, ad nauseum...

What is this namby pamby apology B.S. I have never seen more apologies, demands for apologies, false apologies in my life. Stand up like a man and tell the world Hillary was wrong about the surge, wrong about Petreaus, and that this shows she has no grasp of foreign policy.
Then laugh in her face when she demands an apology for saying that.

Take it to another thread. And change your little diaper while you're at it... whiner.

I may be dreaming, but I am going to be optimistic. Since our choice for president is so limited, I am praying that McCain will have some sort of conversion to conservatism onces his goal for power is obtained. Just imagine a guy with his “maverick” personality as a conservative.
I can dream, can’t I?

Judging by McCain's history of holding grudges against those whom he perceives as having wronged him, I would say that you dream in vain.
I'd like to think McCain would have a conversion to conservatism, too...but his history shows that, if anything, his conversion to liberalism is all but complete. And once you cross over to that darkness, there is no return.

The only whiners I see are those liberal RINO supporters who screech at me when I point out that their boy ain't nothin' but a Democrat with an 'R' by his name.
So stick a sock in it, liberal.

Not much to savor when McCain throws more conservatives under his Doubletalk Express bus than he ever has tossed liberals.

Confession - it's times like this that I feel I should relinquish my right to vote.
He's so cute in this picture I'd vote for this man for anything. You just want to take him home with you, knowing what he went through plus looking at his handsome face.
And then I get slapped back to reality with his pro-amnesty crap....

Watching hillary’s statement in the video at the link and recalling a question asked about it in one of the debates, she answered with a lie saying her comment was about the overall policy in Iraq and not the surge. Her “willing suspension of disbelief” was undeniably at Petraeus’ reports of the surges success, essentially calling him a liar.
I wish I had the prowess to create a video of her statement in context and her lying answer to the question and post it on youtube. I'm sure her fan club would be there with guns blazing.
To: blogsforthompson.com
I think McCain is going to run a very agressive and vicious campaign. If so, good for him and the nation.
To: blogsforthompson.com
I was hoping and praying her witchy, condescending remarks to Petreus would become an issue in the campaign.
I hope footage of the exchange gets more air time.
To: blogsforthompson.com
I forgive her, she was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder from that sniper...oh, wait a second, never mind.

We're not whining, we just like pointing out how nuts you are. The idea that McCain is basically the same ideologically as Clinton and Obama could land you in the gullible hall Of Fame.
On the war, national defense, taxes, and spending, to name just a few, McCain is FAR to the right of Obama or Clinton. To pretend otherwise is just crazy talk.

McCain needs to keep up the (verbal) sniping at his opponents.

I didn’t think McCain had it in him! Usually he’s apologizing to his “good friends” the Dems, right and left when some conservative sneezes funny. However, I have to applaud McCain for taking this stance. But I don’t think anyone should hold their breath that Evita will apologize anytime soon. She only apologizes or prevaricates when even the MSM reports that she’s lying faster than a kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
