I thoroughly enjoyed reading the whole article. Thanks for sharing that heartwarming story. Syesha is a class act, and kept persevering. Despite the lack of positive feedback, she came into her own and pushed harder and harder each week, especially near the end.

The comment that Syesha made to the shy teenager was probably just what she needed to hear. Not too long ago, Syesha was a shy girl with not as much self-confidence. She visualized and achieved her dreams. You go Girl! Keep following your dreams. :)

After I spoke I realized you and Rockermom were not in the same admiration society for Fantasia's performance. I was not taking to it myself at the onset; but then, with the energy level rising and the movements & steppin' in sync with the dancers, I liked it! In contrast, it made the performance of the Idols of the night seem like Idol 101. Wait it is Idol 101, so winners are suppose to soar AI and make it their own.

I still have a thing about Cook's locks and it distracts me. Still think of it as a modern day comb over, and I am not alone. Just looks like high maintenance when he could tone it down just a little--he's going for a Bedhead (rough night) look that has already been done, is the only way I can express it. But that's just me. Then on the other hand, Arch needs to work out or something, he slouches and clothes don't hang off him well. Looks like he might of gained some weight over the course of the show.

Now am getting petty..Syesha came on the first day with a sense of style with the scarf European thing, and evolved into other looks completely different from the other.

By the way she has a great website. Think you all will like it, now Don't Be Shy.. http://www.syesha.com/

That was hilarious! Actually, I remember them talking about and showing that on American Idol earlier in the season. Thanks for sharing. You sure are coming up with some good ones!

Guess we can’t agree on everything. Hey, but we have made it over the 400 post mark! Congratulations to all of us on that! This has been a blast and something I look forward to everyone time I check Free Republic.

OK, I will give Fantasia props for her high energy level however, that is it! As one of my friends pointed out, she looked like a rooster! Idol 101’ers move on and make it their own but personally, I don’t need all that as long as they can sing and keep it entertaining, without burning themselves out. Fantasia could barely breath after that performance!

Cook’s hair - I don’t really like it but it doesn’t distract me. Wish it would be different but I have accepted that he is a casual t-shirt, jeans and jacket kind of guy. Fix the hair, David, but facial growth is not too shabby! LOL I get tired of the stiff, perfectly dressed guy. Gets old and boring. That’s just my opinion. He is who he is and feels comfortable that way. Look at Taylor Hicks. His hair sure wasn’t fashionable, dressed a bit better in the end and he really has not been successful, as far as I have heard and seen. He is a great guy, but not nearly as marketable as David Cook is. Strap that guitar on Rocker Dave and he is good to go!

Archie, his is just so cute and nobody seems to care how he dresses! Yeah, his clothes do seem to hang off of him, especially those jackets.

Too petty - maybe?? but then what would we have to discuss? Guess that is why it is so fun and we can continue our thread! Thanks for the Syesha site. I have something to look forward to and I won’t be shy! Thanks again for all your posts and your comments. Glad we didn’t lose you to the other AI thread! :)

I’ve not been a big fan of Cook’s hair, to be sure. I will say that he made a vast improvement about six weeks ago. Early on his hair was about four to five inches long in front, and it hung down by his eyes. Yuck. He also had some red streaks in it. I didn’t care for that either.

I’m not put off by his hair now that much. I do know where you are coming from, and I don’t think it would hurt him to improve it more. Still, he isn’t playing to you and I, so I guess I can give him some slack.

David A. is a bundle of nerves. He’s a simpering dingo. I like the kid, but I can’t quite get behind him. I’m going to say that’s unfair of me. I know it isn’t his fault. His dad must be an ass for creating in his son this attitude.

What can I say. I like Cook better.

You know what, a lot of the comments we have made here are probably petty, buy it’s kindof the nature of the subject matter.

It has been a joy to bounce some thoughts off you two as the season wound down. Very nice...

Taylor Hicks had to be my least favorite Idol..how he ever got to #1...he's a great example of an American Idol Anomaly. He looked like someone's uncle.

Facial growth is the natural order of things. Bed head is as well..and both can be very erotic, but then it is when someone tries to hard to be sexy. Difficult to explain.

But is the slot Cook is going for--

Again, more than most want to know. lol

Did I dream this or did you say Syesha was on Leno tonight? If so, was she dressed in a Dwight Yoakum costume?

I am so sorry. It listed on my Dish Guide that Syesha was going to be on! I missed the very beginning to see if Jay announced Syesha being on. Dwight Yoakam is OK, but he ain’t no SYESHA! Sorry about that! :(

Yes, she was dressed in Dwight Yoakam costume! Maybe under his cowboy hat there!

DoughtyOne, if you missed Syesha on Leno, you really didn't miss anything; as I think someone on here (not you or I) uncocked a bottle of champagne around post #400 and an inaccuracy was subsequently posted.
