You might say that there is a little bit of chaos in that party.
His politics sucks. But personally, actually, he is quite personable, humorous and can have a good heart at times. Too bad he is still a hopeless liberal.
Obama will be the selected nominee of the crats.
wonder if he worried more about super delegates of his grand daughter having an affair with billy jeff?
I propose a compromise ticket: Mondale-Ferraro 2008!
Why let a young whippersnapper like John McCain into the White House?
What other ticket than Gore-Kerry could ever win?
O.k., there I go again using the totally wrong delimiter. O.k., so then what 'bout Gore/Schrillery? Oh, kay, then.
How 'bout Kerry/Clinton? What 'bout Kerry/Gore (or even Kerry-Gore)? I don't believe the issue inherently is one of delimeters (although I could be wrong).
I'm pretty certain that Gore_Kerry would be right out (as would be Gore_Clinton, Kerry_Gore, or even Clinton_McCain).
Anyways, what do I know? I'm not CBS.
The answer to this issue is trivially simple for the Democrats. They believe in polls rather than old-fashioned votes anyway - so they should simply have Gallup conduct one real big telephone poll at the time of the convention. And the delegates should rubber-stamp the findings of that poll as published in The New York Times. Problem solved.
Obama will be the selected nominee of the crats.
I tend to agree. I also think that McCain could guarantee that result - and his own victory in the general election - by announcing the name of a black conservative running mate for himself before the Democratic convention. The Republican VP candidate would have nothing to do but attack Obama and Wright et al, and to answer two questions:IMHO if Obama could win that argument, with no matter what level of mendacious support from Big Journalism, enough to get a majority of the voters in the country to pull the lever for him in a secret ballot then there was never any possibility at all that the the Republicans were going to win this election.
- "Yes, of course, my own nomination was simple identity politics" - and
- "No, that is no different than naming a VP from a different geographical section of the country in order to "balance the ticket." And in that sense it is perfectly legitimate - and long overdue."
The black conservative would, inevitably, have a thin resume - but how much thinner than Obama's? And he would only be the VP candidate - and the Constitution already incentivizes the selection of a VP candidate on a criterion other than qualification for POTUS - "The Electors shall meet in their respective States and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same State with themselves." That is a mandate for selecting the VP nominee for diversity, and - at the discretion of the presidential nominee and the nominating convention - there is no reason not to apply that criterion to race just as the Constitution promotes the use of it for geography.
I think the only way the dems can win is with a Obama/Sharpton ticket. You know what I’m talkin about.
No one knows how the party will come together to pick a nominee.
Take a page from the WWF and go with the steel cage-match option. Winner takes all. They could put it on pay-per-view and finance the campaign. I’d pay to see that.
BTTT
Hillary has to wear a mask.
Mondale worried about super-delegate vote....
asks....where’s the beast....after all ~ he is talking about the piaps!!!!
