It might require an amendment to the state Constitution, which is extremely unlikely. Would appreciate if anyone more knowledgeable could confirm this, though.

Very similar to this poor soul's story

Police had arrested four suspects in Sowell's beating death: Arthur Jeter, 18; Wilburt Martin, 19; Eric L. Price, 17; and Trayvon Ramos, 16

Now, try finding pics of these hoodlums.

No doubt the youths will claim that he used the N-word, and some members of the jury will believe them.

You mean like this one........

Well, one would think that even requiring a license at all would be in violation of the Commonwealth's Constitution, but that doesn't stop them! :-(

I man that used to work with my husband took an early retirement and went back to Philadelphia to work in procurement for the city school district. He says that the waste in the school district is so bad that they could supply multiple school districts with the waste, alone. We’re not talking just paper and pencils, either. No one keeps track of anything.

He would no doubt excuse the thugs behavior and make some sort of claim that whitey had it coming.

"... tired of dealing with the MOVE low lifes that threatened their neighborhood"

I agree with most what you said, although, Frank Rizzo seems to have more 'law & order' instilled within the city.

When I worked at State Correctional Institute at Graterford back in the 70's, MOVE guys came there. They were absolutely filthy! Whenever one of them went to chow hall at back of the block, it was like Moses parting the Red Sea with inmates getting out of his way. Every month we had to throw out everything in their cells and burn it, including clothes, sheets, blanket, mattress and pillow. Nothing could be cleaned after they had it.

I agree with you - Frank Rizzo supported the police and he was a law and order Mayor. His brother, the fire commissioner, was awful imo. Many South Philadelphians had a love affair with F. Rizzo and still do.

I can believe it (re Graterford and how dirty they were). One of the most interesting things, to me, is how those in MOVE were not only dirty, living the way they chose, etc. but also how they harassed their neighbors, threatened them, yet that’s never covered in the media or those who support them. The neighbors tolerated so much from the MOVE members yet all I keep reading is how the govt and police did such horrible things (granted, dropping a bomb on a rowhome is never a good thing or a way to handle criminals). MOVE was NOT just trying to live their lives in the most natural way, they were harassing and threatening their neighbors daily.

Just 4 "yutes" from the da hood out enjoying a late night recreational beating. Nothing to get all worked up about, unless of course the dead man happened to be someone you knew and cared about.

I have read on some gun forums that a person with a clean record has no problem getting a PA concealed carry license. If I lived in Philly I would have a CCL, and I wouldn't leave home without a gun in my pocket. I need to check and see if PA honors my GA CCL just in case I ever want or need to visit the city of brotherly love again. Even if PA honors my CCL there's still a problem since I would have to drive through either OH, WV, or MD to get there, and none of those states honor GA CCLs.

We need a national CCL, or far better, we need the USSC to simply honor and uphold the 2nd Amendment so that no CCL would be necessary anywhere in the US. If the men who wrote and ratified the Constitution knew that Americans now have to have a government issued license to keep and bear arms they would rise up out of their graves and hang the lawmakers and judges who have ignored their amendment.
