Anyone got any ideas why blacks have had so many problems integrating successfully into American society? I mean, everybody hated the Polacks, the Jews, the Italians, the Chinese, and later, the Vietnamese, but they all eventually became full beneficiaries of the American dream. Why have the blacks been such failures?
I am not sure exactly why this is, but I am damn sure it's whitey's fault.

Rush Limbaugh quoted a black sociologist (I forget who), who said it was because blacks feel “owed”. Once you understand that, a lot of things make sense.
It also explains why workers in large corporations can also become so unproductive. Once they feel “owed” you can forget about getting much out of them.
However, if the kind of racist venom he poisoned his congregation with is not common “spiritual” food for the black flock, then I can only guess.
Blaming someone else for your every misfortunes and failure is a sure fire way to guarantee you don't learn the lessons failure is trying to teach you so you'll keep falling into the rut you've carved for yourself.
As I see it, there are a great number of blacks who are as much a part of American society as anyone else. But to be one of those successes you have to want to become a member of that society without carrying all the baggage you can possibly fill with ancient slights and perceived insults.
I don't know, I guess I'm just too much of a “typical white person” to grasp the nuances of racial inequality...
