Depends. Remember most of them (especially young Democrat girls you've been dating) have a very limited understanding of civics/politics, and "change" to them has far more to do with simply getting Bush out and a Democrat in than any real policy changes. Sure, most make a bunch of noises about getting "troops out of Iraq" and "global warming," but they're just regurgitating 'Rat party talking points.
Then there are the lazy welfare Democrats, whose primary concern is getting as much money from the U.S. taxpayer as possible. ...entitlements, "reparations," etc.
Then there are the true believing socialist ideologues who view the Scandinavian nanny-state countries with their astronomical tax rates and stifling regulations as the ideal.
But in the dating world you'll encounter the first-mentioned variety about 95% of the time, and with a little work they can be brought around.
As Mr. Mojo said, probably about 95% of the women you encounter fall into the category of being politically ignorant— they think they know stuff, but they've been ill-informed by media in all its forms (news/ movies/ & the all-important & brain decaying OPRAH). I consider it your DUTY to date these women and start the slow process of informing them about the realities of the world. Who knows, you might convert one, marry her & make many little baby conservatives.
My husband was a whiney liberal aclu-supporter when we first met. His work office now features an EIB Attila the Hun chair at his desk, and a photo of Reagan on the wall. People do change.
