Halal rules are quite similar to kosher rules. Do you have the same attitude towards kosher?

I would never eat anything prepared by a Muslim and consecrated to their idol, their bloodthirsty false God "Molech".

I'd drive 100 miles to get something that wasn't "halal" or prepared by any follower of Baal.

Really? Jews make the animals face Mecca and pray to Allah before killing them? Gee, news to me.......

Any time I’ve heard someone in public complain of lack of Halal food, I remind them that Kosher IS Halal, so if it is acceptable for Jews, it is acceptable for them.
And if that’s not good enough, the vegan choices are good for everyone AND the Earth.

Muhammad was a false prophet so they are wasting their time. Same as their praying to non existent allah five times per day. Jews have a real God so Kosher is valid.

The Halal rules are a pathetic rip off of the Jews Kosher laws. Halal rules are a mess same as the Koran. Fish and shellfish is up for grabs with Halal. There are disputes about what fish and shellfish are Halal

Islamic Halal is the same food prep rules as Jewish Kosher (very minor difference such as Kosher allows alcohol and Halal doesn’t, but otherwise the pretty much the same) ....

They differ on fish and shellfish and allah blessing is recited for Halal slaughter. Kosher is very different.

Muslims obviously stole this from the Jews and modified it

What authority is there for halal? Is there one or are there hundreds?

Actually, the differences are much more vast. Most Islamic schools and sects allow for shellfish, catfish and camel. Kashrat (or Kosher) doesn't allow for the above named meats and much more.

I’m pretty sure it called itself that before this site came around.

Lucky! I wish there were a butcher shop around here.

Hey, maybe the FReepers right down the road from me would know ... Eakers, is there in fact a butcher shop in our neck of the woods?

The only one I can think of offhand is in Stafford.

“Having halal, kosher and vegan items on the menu means more business.”

Not having halal, kosher and vegan items will lower costs. If you want to be in business, you have to know which customers to ‘fire’. Serve pork openly, and save a bundle on returned orders, problem customers, etc.

A general rule is that if the preparer is Muslim...

It is a racket to ensure that muslims get preferential treatment in the food industry.

We do not tolerate such discrimination in America.

Ultimately some Imam tell the inquiring muslim to shun all kufir. It is ok to live among us as missionaries but not to “be like us”.

KFC is in competition with the now erroneously named “Church's Fried Chicken”. Church was a family name. It was bought by a muslim concern a few years back and is quite open about it being a muslim run chicken shack.

There is probably a whisper campaign among the muslim community to avoid KFC.

What I don't get is where was all this concern about Kosher??

How come Jews didn't get special menus, preparation at chain restaurants?

Why are the Muslims getting their a$$es kissed?

I can't get my local Krogers to carry Marzetti's Sweet- n-Sour dressing.

The head of KFC should tell us how the chicken tastes better or is healthier to eat for having had praises to Allah chanted as the neck is slashed.

Chick-fil-A anyone?

I avoid KFC because their quality and quantity has gone down the tubes.
I used to love their Original chicken but now stick to Bojangle’s.

Having real butcher shops is definitely a rare treat in this day and age. It just so happens this area is convenient to the major roadway (Beltway, etc.) in the region. We have a more traditional butcher too.
