As the US and Iraqi Army battle the Iranian-backed Mahdi Army and the Special Groups terror cells in central and southern Iraq, the US military in Baghdad has released further information on Iranian-made weapons seized in Iraq. The US has seized numerous weapons caches in the past, with lot numbers and markings clearly linking them back to Iran. Iran has denied any involvement with sending weapons to Iraq, yet it has not explained how these Iranian-manufactured weapons are appearing inside Iraq.

Come on, international community, let the condemnation of the world fall on Iran like a ton of bricks. Look at the pictures!

The military and the civilian administration that oversees the military in the USA have known that Iran is actively - and with effect - backing terrorism directed at US military and other interests for decades. Iran knows that we’ve known it, and that we don’t officially intend to do a damn thing about it. Any wonder that it continues?

That which is rewarded is repeated.

Thanks...John Batchelor had Gen Vally on his KFI show this afternoon and the General was talking about how Gen Patraeus has his hands tied by Washington in really doing all things that would make sense to stop the flow of weapons....

No actions outside the boundary of Iraq. And the "Civil War " is really a battle with Iranian armed and directed Quods forces within Iraq....

Iraq's border security is as porous as ours. As I look at Basra's proximity to Iran and the sea. it's little wonder that the flow of arms and insurgents is so great and their escape routes so convenient. Iran's sovereignty is a line in the sand and so's the insurgents' protection.

Is this a war or a kid's game......

Yep, Iran is a peaceful country alright. Always had peaceful intentions. They’d never use their uranium for destructive purposes /dripping sarcasm

I may be proven to be totally wrong, and we must adhere to some element of SECOPS. But I believe we do not have adequate air and ground resources to patrol the large border between Iran and Iraq to a degree that might be deemed sufficient to intercept all incoming Iranian weapons.
I wonder how many navigable roads that are not even shown on maps and certainly are not in the range of the immediate Iraqi and Coalition border patrols on this side of their border act as conduits for smuggling things across the border.
