Anne Frank Would Have Believed Ahmadinejad, and Looked to America

Walking through the annex in Amsterdam where Anne Frank hid from the Nazis, one is taken back to another place in time. It is not a pleasant feeling. It is one of fear and intimidation, death and deliberate destruction on an almost unimaginable scale.

The Franks were a Jewish family living in Germany when Adolf Hitler came to power in 1933. Sensing that Jews may have a tough time of it living under the Fuhrer, Otto Frank wisely moved his family to the Netherlands. But the Nazis' ambitions were not confined to Germany alone.

Soon after the Nazis took over the Netherlands in 1940, Otto arranged for his family and several friends to go into hiding in the annex above his business. It is a bigger space than I imagined it to be, but certainly not large enough to comfortably house eight people. You can imagine how cramped the inhabitants of the annex must have felt, living with the ever-present sense of fear and hope – fear that the Nazis would find them, hope that the Allied Forces would find them first.

Ahmadinejad - a crane, rope and a 6 foot plot is what he needs. I know in the Rodham-Clinton administration, I would be arrested for that remark. I know she will extradite Pat Robertson to Venezuela for his remark against Chavez.

In a demonstration in Qom, some 100 clerics and their students demanded the execution of Iranian dissident intellectual Abd Al-Karim Sorush for saying that the Prophet Muhammad did not possess extensive knowledge and that the inspiration to write the Koran was earthly and subject to Muhammad's human limitations.

Well that sounds perfectly reasonable. Hey thanks for the Islamic website. I love these things.

This is a good article, thanks for posting!

One critical point in this article is that Anne Frank wanted to believe that she and her family would be saved eventually with the Allied invasion of Europe, and unfortunately that help came too late for the Frank family.

The lesson is: America and the West cannot afford to dilly dally as has been current practice with Bush/Rice. Miss Condi is too busy whining about how tough blacks had it in America in the early years, and fails to understand that diplomacy has failed both in Iran AND in North Korea.

The time for diplomacy is over, and Miss Rice and her like-minded ideologues at the U.S. State Department of Appeasement and Surrender need to step aside and let the United States Armed Forces do what they do best:

Kick ass, break things, and kill the enemy.

There’s nothing particularly wrong about hundreds of thousands of people being killed, as long as they’re the RIGHT people. And the Islamofascists in Iran and elsewhere meet that definition of the ‘right people’. The B-1s and B-2s and Tomahawks ought to be flying TONIGHT, not tomorrow, not next week, not next month or next year.

NOW. No more talk, and a LOT more action is what’s needed.

Anybody listening up there at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

Hello?

[is that crickets I hear?]

Jarring title. Could have been worded better.
