Westerns are under the leftist delusion that only whites can be racist. The Han Chinese are some of the biggest racists out there. this is a people who consider themselves to be the middle kingdom. the marginalize and then forecably assimilated the Yue and Hakka Chinese and now are ethnically cleansing, marginalizing, and assimilating the non-chinese populations in the ChiCom empire.
There are actual 53 minority ethnic communities in China, not counting the historical ones that have been comepltely Sinicized.

Nah, I don’t think it’s that deliberate (except for the Tibetans and Uighurs).

Mostly, I think that the Han are simply outbreeding the other ethnic groups. I mean, when you have a billion people, it’s pretty easy to move in a few tens of millions and tell them they can have 2-3 kids instead of one. All the while restricting the other ethnic groups to one child per family.

The tibetans have been autonomous more frequently in the past that the Uyghurs have. And the Uyghurs have been treated worse for longer. So apparently the drive to be free is stronger in the buddists than the muslims.
