The natural tendency for famous rich people (pampered, fawned over, given accolades they don't earn) is to lean way left and to become moonbats. They start to believe the hype, that they are geniuses and can fix everything and know all, when in reality they know nothing (but the press won't tell them that). Funny b/c they are only able to say the things they do b/c they are fixed for life (they have their money hidden from the IRS, their house paid for, their kid's college education paid for many times over). It's easy to be a lefty socialist moonbat if you are very rich (your money is hidden so you approve of more taxes) or very poor (give me on someone else's back).

Related note: sadly last night here in Pittsburgh Mario Lemieux backed Clinton. Easy to be socialist when your money is hidden and when the tax payer is going to build your new stadium.
