Two primary schools have withdrawn storybooks about same-sex relationships after objections from Muslim parents. Up to 90 gathered at the schools to complain about the books which are aimed at pupils as young as five.One story, titled King & King, is a fairytale about a prince who turns down three princesses before marrying one of their brothers. Another named And Tango Makes Three features two male penguins who fall in love at a New York zoo.Bristol City Council said the two schools had been using the books to ensure they complied with gay rights laws which came into force last April.

I told my son’s (1st grade) teacher on day one that “King and King” was unacceptable, and we would come into the classroom if she planned on introducing it. She said she had no plans to do so. If you think your school is going over to the dark side, give them a big scare by threatening them. It works.

Dang! David Parker, in Lexington MA, should have teamed up with some Muslim parents when he complained about his son’s kindergarten teacher talking about homosexuality in class. Because he was a strong Christian, he was villified. If he’d been with some Muslim families, the school department would not have been so quick to fight him.

Well, I’m not taking sides with Islam or anything, but I’m glad these parents made a complaint about the books. (Now why don’t they go make some complaints about terrorism?)

However, you’ll notice the left will submit to THEIR complaints about homos, but when a non-Muslim conservative complains they won’t budge.
