Reagan National Airport (web|news) officials say fire and rescue crews have been busy with a number of ill people, after they attended a conference at Gaylord National at the National Harbor.
Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokeswoman Courtney Prebich says the authority's Fire and Rescue Department received calls for five people who had become ill in different areas of the airport Thursday evening. She said they had come to the airport separately.
A spokesperson with Gaylord National says around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, they were informed by Airport Authorities that several guests, who attended a convention, became sick at Reagan National Airport. She says several hundred people attended the convention. The spokesperson can't confirm the sick guests dined at the Gaylord or stayed at the hotel.

Move along.
Nothing to see here.
“Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokeswoman Courtney Prebich”
Ok. I got distracted by this. How do you pronounce the spokeswoman’s last name?
Just picked up my wife there about an hour ago. Nothing unusual there.
any new news?
LOL. Just rubber necking.
Gaylord National...
bttt
any update on this?
I hope the pilots weren’t at the same convention and ate the fish.
I hope so. Hopefully it was just something they ate. On a thread awhile back some gal mentioned how her mom (?) was dying and she asked if she was in pain. Mom replied something like “Yes, but it was much worse when we all got sick on Aunt Edna’s chicken salad.”
I take the subway to work and saw all those firetrucks and ambulances. Now I know why.
There is no evidence that a "mysterious illnes" was present at the airport. Common sense would indicate that the "mysterious illness" was contracted at the Gaylord National. Sheesh!
