"Maybe we should follow their lead. The US could ask for BILLIONS to pay for the environmentalists wishes."

No maybes about it. We don't need any particular politician in DC to introduce pro-drilling in ANWAR legislation. The American people, themselves, will immediately drop their "feel-good" positions, and take care of that little problem THE VERY MINUTE they're given the type of stark choice mentioned in that article. LOL

Who will carry that ball for us? John McCain? If he did, he would have instant support of most conservatives.

Anyone think a non-leader like him will be smart enough to do it? Hahahahahaha

"...Anyone think a non-leader like him will be smart enough to do it?..."

It won't take any ultimatums, babe. When gasoline hits 5 or 7 or 10 bucks a gallon (whatever it takes), the NGOs will be sent packing! The enviro-weenies only get away with their bullshit because the dhimmicRATS pretend to be concerned.

I don't know what the breaking-point is, but when the cost of gas gets high enough, the USA will finally get an Energy Policy - "Drill for oil NOW, and build some new refineries, dammit!!"

When it finally happens, it could also mark the end of the meddlesome UN .............. FRegards
