Putin fires a parting shot at Bush

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin last night let fly at one of his last meetings with his US counterpart, George W.Bush, saying some NATO countries had demonised Moscow and failed to reward Russia for helping end the Cold War.

A source in the Russian delegation to the NATO summit in Bucharest said Mr Putin - who is due to hold talks with Mr Bush at the Black Sea port of Sochi early today - challenged US policy towards Iran and said the Islamic republic should be helped to emerge from isolation, instead of being threatened.

In his address to the 26 heads of state and government leaders, Mr Putin also attacked NATO leaders for forcing Moscow to accept enlargement of the alliance into the former Soviet bloc.

"Some went as far as total demonisation of Russia and can't get away from this even now. Some began to talk about imperial ambitions," Mr Putin said in his address to NATO leaders in the Romanian capital.

Mr Putin said Russia had peacefully withdrawn from Eastern Europe after the Soviet collapse and "of course expected something in return. But this didn't come."

Isn’t it nice that Russia “helped end the cold war”.

What would we have done without them?

Could it be that Mr. Putin has been harboring a grudge?

Poor baby.

Considering it was Russia that started it in the first place, that's not entirely surprising. Maybe we should thank them for giving out billions of dollars to the North Koreans and North Vietnamese so they could kill 100,000 GI's as well. Maybe we should thank the Germans and the Japanese for surrendering at the end of WWII as well.

Mr. Putin, when you quit arming terrorist nations, and providing them with nuclear weapons material and technology, you will be within a century of having any credibility on the subject of how America should behave towards other nations.

My question is: why has the court not commended my client for his exemplary behavior?”

Too funny. Putin does seem to have a fairly unhealthy jealousy frothing to the top lately. Run along pooty-poot ... maybe the fish will fear you.

“of course expected something in return. But this didn’t come.”

They wanted something in return for being defeated after they had conquered and subjugated other nations. I think not. The russian mindset is so backwards with some of their paranoid viewpoints.

"challenged US policy towards Iran and said the Islamic republic should be helped to emerge from isolation, instead of being threatened."

Yea right. It's more like Iran should be "helped" to forge the new Persian Empire which includes Russia as part of it's ten nation Hydra And become the new world power in control of the bulk of the worlds oil supply.

As for "Russia' helping end the cold war, Show me one map that says "Russia" on it before the fall of the Soviet Union.
Show me any country who has a statue and tomb of it's enemy's leader in the center of it's capital city. Does North Vietnam have a statue of kennedy that they honor with a yearly celebration?

Surely Putin you don't believe that the west is that stupid and have already forgotten who was responsible for the cold war, the 100 million souls lost during it; who were and still are members of the Soviet secret society and still have visions of total global domination, a new persian empire in which the glorious leader of the soviet union see's himself worshipped (by force) as a short, bald little god.
