You could have heard a pin drop at the Hong Kong conference designed to persuade the airline industry to cut back on its production of so-called greenhouse gases to fight "global warming."
The "Greener Skies 2008" conference had just heard from David Archibald, a solar scientist asserting that climate change is mostly dictated by solar cycles, not carbon dioxide levels, as conventional wisdom suggests.
Archibald didn't just tell the group not to worry about carbon dioxide emissions. He told those gathered they should figure out ways of increasing CO2 output.
"In a few short years, we will have a reversal of the warming of the 20th century," Archibald warned, according to CargoNews Asia. "There will be significant cooling very soon. Our generation has known a warm, giving sun, but the new generation will suffer a sun that is less giving, and the earth will be less fruitful. Carbon dioxide is not even a little bit bad – it's wholly beneficial."

I agree 100% but IMO islamic fascism is just too great a threat to set this one out.

The term “climate change” is an old Indian phrase. Loosely translated, it means “Send us your money”
All life is carbon based. Why has carbon become such a bad thing given that all life is carbon based?
Why don’t they go buy some CO2. Its at the same place you buy those carbon credits. I have a whole empty warehouse full of the stuff.

Probably nothing, but it would seem that the educated fools of the leftist world global warming scam will believe anything their leftist junk science teachers feed them.
Top UN scientists have been forced to admit that natural weather occurrences are having a far greater effect on climate change than CO2 emissions as a continued cooling trend means there has been no global warming since 1998.
It goes on to say...
Global temperatures have remained reasonably flat since a decline in 1998 and cooling trends are now being observed despite the fact that carbon dioxide levels have increased in the atmosphere (see graph below).
Indeed, the latest evidence from climatological surveys shows that the earth’s upper oceans and the troposphere, the primary indicators of climate change, have not been warming for the last four years.
On the whole, the world is getting colder (see above), which is why "global warming" suddenly became "climate change" when temperature levels since 2003 started to prove the alarmists wrong.
Carbon emissions have never driven climate change because as ice core samples clearly show, carbon dioxide is a consequence of temperature increase and not a cause of it, sometimes lagging behind by as much as 800 years.
I’m sure that I’m not the only one wo has noticed the increasingly desperate and shrill attempts to silence the real science. The AGW scammers know their number is up, and soon. Too bad for them that the truth does always win out in the end. Looks like it is going to sooner than I thought, though.
The real questions are (1) how do we use this to really stick it to the libe and (2) how can we use this to rack up some serious cash like Al Gore did the AGW scam?
I wish someone would ask John McCain for his rationale in choosing to join the Global Warming Parade.

You mean like AL Gore’s flying around in private jets, living in 10K sq ft house with $2400 a month heating bills, spending that $300 million he just announced he is spending to spread the hoax!

I will have a very hard time pulling the lever for the globalist open borders McCain. Don’t think I can do it.
Whay I found most interesting about his presentation was his graph on CO2 emissions from US, Australia, and Chine. He predicted that China would surpass US in CO2 emissions in 2009 and be double that of US in 2016. Since we know China passed US in CO2 in either 2006 or 2007, then they will be producing double US probably by 2013 or 2014.
The implications of this are huge. All the envirowackos in the USA are strangling our economy while China will refuse to cut their CO2 by claiming they are a ‘develpoung’ country and thus not subject to these rules. After 10 years or so we will have so screwed our economy that we will be the third world country and China will own us.
Horticulturists commonly increase the amount of CO2 in their greenhouses, which makes for larger plants, fruits, & flowers. The greenhouses must be aired out prior to entry, as plants can handle much more CO2 than humans.
Al Gore & his ilk are simply out to make a buck!
A lie is easier to sell & more profitable than the truth.
Start a market in carbonless credits....make them 10 times the cost of carbon credits and require 10 carbonless credits to be purchased to "offset" each carbon credit previously purchased. ;-)
Of course, carbonless credits will also need to be purchased by owners of hybrid cars, solar panels, etc...and anyone who has ever donated to PETA, Greenpeace, MoveOn, etc. The possibility for profit is endless because we're doing it "for Mother Earth" and "for the children.

Archibald replied: “I am happy to share the science. It’s all reputable.”
It’s because those 2,000 scientists aren’t really objective scientists at all but rather alarmists whose research grants depend upon scaremongering and creating some sense of impending doom.
My brother told me about a little experiment you can do with your kids, or anyone skeptical about whether or not the release of Carbon Dioxide causes warming ... or could it be the other way around, warming causes slight increases in Carbon Dioxide?
Open two carbonated sodas (ie: Coke). Leave one sitting on the table at room temperature. Sit the other in the refrigerator. After 12 hours or so, take a sip from each to see that the Coke at warmer room temperature now has less “fizz” or carbon dioxide left in it than the Coke kept in the colder frig.
Conclude that when opened, the Coke begins to loose its Carbon dioxide (fizz) into the air. Warmer air caused more carbon dioxide to release.
So when the stats show that we have raised Carbon Dioxide levels in the atmosphere today, is that causing the warmer weather, or is it the other way around, warmer weather (caused perhaps by greater sun activity) causes the rise in Carbon Dioxide?
Al Gore knows could explain all of this:
The Coke that you left out on the counter released CO2 into the atmosphere causing the Coke bottle to warm. Otherwise it would have stayed just as cold as the one in the Fridge. And you should be forced to buy Carbon Credits from Al Gore's company to cover the damage that your Coke did to the environment.
Algore and his disciples don't have much time before either the climate does as Archibald says and/or enough of our fellow humans with common sense and a willingness to use it come to a consensus and realize we're being scammed. Sadly, common sense ain't too common.
so does that mean Gore has to trade his Peace Prize in for the War Prize? What a mixed up world we live in.
Surprising the fellow making these assertions was not stoned where he stood. Perhaps only because of lack of access to a sizable supply of stones.
But he is in for a good sound verbal drubbing later on, as the nattering class recovers their prejudices and equilibrium, and continues to press their agenda.
You know, I am also starting to wonder who else might get a piece of the carbon credit scam. Billions will be changing hands in the process. Makes you wonder why there is a push in Congress to pass that legislation. Manmade global warming is junk science as I see it. I don’t know, just looks suspicious to me now.
You’re right. It’s not just the money, though those depending on the GW scam make boatloads of money off of it.
It’s about shutting down individual liberty. It’s what socialists hate the most in this world. Free people making free choices.
GW is the (so far) perfect mechanism for pushing socialism on a global population that’s a bit leery of schemes coming from the likes of Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Castro and a hundred other tin-pot socialist schemers.
