That’s too easy.

Muslims have shown that they are good for their word, and WILL take your freaking head or blow you up if you don’t bend to their will.

Americans, on the other hand, are assumed (rightly) to be civilized, and therefore non-threatening (no matter how “blue in the face” they get).

Since when is having same-gender couples in a book the same thing as “teaching about sex”? Is every storybook with an opposite-gender couple “teaching about sex”? Either of these books have anything to do with sexual acts, any more than any other storybook about couples, love, families, etc. People who “protest” the inclusion of same-gender couples in literature are bigots plain and simple, be they Muslim, Christian, atheist, or whatever. They just want to make sure anyone who isn't heterosexual like they are stays “beneath” them — so they can say to themselves that they are better than SOMEONE, at least— so insecure are they about themselves. Sad.
