I think he'll receive a lot of similar sentiments. My email read "Well done, General. You're a man of integrity, courage, and forthrightness. Would that all of our Senators had those qualities."

Great idea. He deserves our thanks.

I think it speaks volumes about President Bush that he's letting General Petraeus take credit for the surge's success. I guess the president feels that it would not be good for morale to let it be known that he (the president) is the one who is actually making all the important strategic and tactical decisions. Someday, the historians will dig all that up.
