Six teen girls lured a former friend to a home and ambushed her, taking turns pounding on her face and body for 30 minutes until she was unconscious as someone videotaped the violence, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
"Shocking, I've never seen anything like it," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. "They seem to have absolutely no remorse at all. I don't understand the sheer violence."
Investigators said the victim apparently posted something against the six girls on MySpace before she was lured to the home by a phone call from teen Mercedes Nichols.
Police said the girl traveled to the house and walked into the trap.
One girl met her at the door and five others were hiding in a back room, detectives said. The girls were then seen on video pummeling the girl in the face and body and slamming her head into a wall.
As the videotape rolled, a girl's voice is heard yelling "There is only 17 seconds left; make it good."
Police said the girls wanted to post the video on YouTube and MySpace.

But speaking of TBI's.....
The one in the white top and pink pants.......
I would very much like to introduce that little bitch to the butt end of my Ithaca 20 gage. Again and again.
Then I'd like to have a very one-sided conversation with her "parents".....soon to turn to the physical aspect........
These a$$holes do not need "counseling".....these a$$holes do not need "therapy"......
These a$$holes need to have an "attention getting event"......
My Dad, rest his soul, was fond of the 2x4.
I prefer a more useful tool.
Have you seen the movie Idiocracy?
Very funny take on your point.
The mother of one of the suspects said the victim, Victoria Lindsay, had provoked the teens by threatening and insulting them on MySpace, while Lindsay’s father said the teens had been motivated by their desire to create a popular Internet video. Films of fights and other violent acts are not only prevalant online, but popular, he said.
obviously one parent believes it’s the victim’s fault...after all, how dare she say mean things about her precious angel???
God help us!!
I heard the audio of this attack on talk radio tonight. In watching the video here, all I could think was: Please hit back. I was wishing she would struggle and hit and do everything possible to get out of there.
Also, I couldn’t help but compare this story to the “Jena Six”. Six boys attacked one boy in that story. Six girls attack one girl in this one. The book should be thrown at all kids who engage in this type of violence.
My guess is she’s not going to make the practice.
I hope it upsets her a little more than wrecking a young girl’s life seems to.
I do get some comfort out of whatever the criminal system does or doesn’t do, these girls and their families are going to probably find out just how nasty a civil suit can be.
By the way, this is FL. Yes, people do get by with murder, but my experience is FL is not a nice place to go to jail. If they get the right judge, they may have quite a surprise waiting.
I also think these stupid beotches thought because they are under 18 that they would never be tried as adults....after all they were just 'making a little film for you-tube'... LOL! Guess that shows you what a great edoomukashun they have been getting.....LOL! ;)
I just looked that movie up on IMDB and I see it’s by the same guys who made OFFICE SPACE, one of my faves!
Devilution and there is a lot of that going around. Society is to blame and so are all of us that put up with all the evil and go on with our daily lives not taking stands for righteousness. You have to wonder what those young people would be like if they grew up in a moral country.
It’s one result of our laws and policies against men. The really outstanding consequences will come with the next big war/depression (lack of will to fight and lack of ingenuity that existed with manufacturing).
Oh, good...I am always hesitant to recommend something that may offend the finer sensibilities of some Freepers. You will LOVE that movie; except for the fact that you will actually say to yourself: "I can totally see that happening...NOW."
Sad to say, but these perps are aware that there is little or no consequence for bad behavior in today’s world. We’ll see more and more of this kind of stuff as long as there are ACLU types eager to shield the miscreants from punishment.
Considering that the mother of one of the perps is on the video defending her precious snowflake, I will blame the parents.
thanks for posting....
I couldn't even listen to those girls...I was so upset....
one thing for sure...
that shelf that was being protected..."not the shelf...not the shelf".....THAT would have been on the floor in smitherins if I had been there...
The Dawn of the Dead: an ever-growing epidemic of zombies that have risen from the dead.
Dead Eyes and missing eyebrows.
Where are their eyebrows?
Dress them in rags.Parade them through town, allowing people to taunt them, throw old fruit at them, and hit them with sticks not thicker than a thumb.
Put them in stocks for three days.
Fine each parent $2,000.
Require a formal, public apology to the girl and her family.
Repeat steps 1-5 until #6 has been done to the satisfaction of the victim and her family.
Actually, I'm THRILLED that they wanted to post this on MySpace and YouTube. Talk about perfect evidence of a crime! Why can't more criminals do this sort of thing?
I can almost hear the prosecutor... "Not only was this a singularly brutal act, but you can hear the glee of the other girls while the victim was beaten. And they were so proud of their actions that they wanted the whole world to see what they did." This should make for particularly harsh sentencing. At least I hope so.
Mark
I agree.
Yes, but it seems like this particular group would have given off warning signals to mindful parents long ago.
That was one of the most disgusting, hideous and sad things I have seen in a while.
I place the blame for this in several places:
1.) The “girls” themselves.
2.) Their parents who could not have raised them correctly.
3.) The hip-hop and gang culture, which if you listen to some of the things they are saying obviously had an effect.
4.) Feminism and its premise that girls and women are just like boys and men. They can, should, and have every right to express every negative trait that in the past was commonly attributed mostly to males, open promiscuity, violence, crudeness and so on. (Note that I am not saying only males/boys exhibit these traits or that all males/boys exhibit them..I am saying that women/girls are encouraged by feminists to exhibit these traits to show they are the same as any man.)
