To me, it was comic relief---I was astounded to hear that many really stupid Americans calling in for a "discussion" with Rani.
My sister, who has a degree, and brother in law, who has a PhD, think this woman is great. Last weekend we ended up in a “discussion” about the war, the causes of 9/11 (she thought it was Bush). I ended up leaving abruptly and next day emailed 2 articles by and about Mansoor Ijaz. My sister finally emailed me back and told she read them even though they were from “right wing web sites” and said she had never heard of any of this before. She had no idea, apparently, that Clinton had turned down getting our hands on OBL about 4 times. She figured this was all Bush’s fault because Clinton had “warned” Bush.
So the truth hit her in the face and now she is figuring that there is blame to go around (Mansoor Ijaz is too credible for anyone to dispute) but she still hates “what Bush and Cheney have done to our country”. I haven’t bothered to point out that until she quits driving that it’s hypocrisy to be against the war “for oil”.
One thing we have agreed on however is our extreme dislike of Hillary. We both agreed that what Rani Rhodes called Hillary was true. The enemy of my enemy....sort of.
