BAGHDAD – Two Multi-National Division –Baghdad aerial weapons teams engaged criminal activities in two separate operations in northeast Baghdad April 10.
An AWT observed three criminals at a potential rocket site at approximately 8 a.m. When the criminals caught site of the AWT, they fled the scene in a black sedan.
An unmanned aerial vehicle observed the criminals returning to the site. At 9:45 a.m., the UAV confirms the presence of rockets. Moments later, the AWT returns and engages the three rockets with a hellfire missile.
The criminals fled the scene.
The AWT and UAV confirmed two additional rockets at a different site a few minutes later.
Since the area was clear of civilians, the AWT fired a hellfire missile at the rockets destroying them.
In a separate event, an unmanned aerial vehicle observed a rocket launch site and positively identified the criminal’s vehicle from the earlier attack.
The UAV engaged the sedan with one hellfire missile at approximately 10:15 a.m.
“We take every precaution when destroying the rocket sites that are killing and injuring the Iraqi people, their Security Forces and U.S. Soldiers,“ said Lt. Col. Steve Stover, spokesman for MND-B. “Our hellfire missiles are a precisionguided weapon, and we have been very successful at only destroying what we aim at.”

Why were they able to flee the scene after being fired upon with Hellfire missles? Shouldn't they have been dispatched to Allah?

You are absolutely correct. And the liberals will take advantage of the use of the word “criminals” in declaring us murderers by killing a criminal before he has a fair trial. Just wait and see.
Thus removing some of the "mystic" that goes with what they are doing. They are "targets" as far as I'm concerned.

Yes, but no mention of what happened to the occupants (other than the statement that they fled the scene). I was hoping to hear they received their 72 Virginians.
They won't have the guts to do that again.
Quite likely the team wanted to observe exactly to where the late decedents fled so as to be able to separately reward the hosts for their hopsitality.
It sounds like they survived and fled the first Hellfire engagement of the rocket launchers, but not the second Hellfire a couple hours later into their sedan.
