Those who believe that it was appropriate to let her pass will never be convinced otherwise.

You say that as if she had a terminal illness and was dying anyway. She didn't. They didn't "let her pass". They caused her death. They didn't just "let her die". I hope people never forget Terri. I will always believe she could have been rehabilitated. Her sorry excuse for a husband refused to let her have any kind of rehab at all. He even refused to let them treat her for a kidney infection. She was so helpless. Its just such a travesty what happened to her.

Woodbutcher, I realize you are hoping to appear cute and sound clever, but you may heed the advise of anon: "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing..."

Were you to do only a cursory review of the many thousands of posts on Terri just in the last three years, you would blush with embarrassment realizing how naive your comments sound. Worse, when they break down into personal attacks, it sounds worse than naive.

FYI, Floriduh Voter is a seasoned veteran who has been in the trenches, knows the players, knows her facts. Like many of us, she has "been there" and we fighters for Terri's Legacy know the vast quantity of facts and evidence and we know whereof we speak.

You are leading with your chin if you pursue this tack. If you truly have an interest in this topic, I suggest you taste your words before spitting them onto the keyboard. We are glad to help any who really wants to learn and has no agenda.

Terri was murdered in a State sponsored precedent. Nobody to date has come up with a shred to show otherwise. Even her original injury was seen as a crime scene back that decade and half ago, and is carried as a cold case file. The truth is there resisting powerful efforts by the bad guys to suppress it.

I am sorry you have "been there" but don't think you are unique. Many of us have "been there" to a degree you may not comprehend and we don't whine about it.

Well, what's up with you?

Neighbor, I observe much, and comment little- but that doesn’t mean I hold no strong opinions.

Terri was killed for being an inconvenient woman.

I authored this before her case became a cause celebre’

The same death squad has cut another victim from the herd and is seeking the same ugly death they visited on Terri. It took them thirteen days to kill Terri who was strong and fighting all the way. Few are so strong as to go that long without a drop of water. Now, the same killers are after Lauren Richardson.

I have been there.

Your post tells me tha you have not.

Woodbutcher, you can say that you have gone through end of life situations, BUT DON'T YOU DARE imply that someone WHO ACTUALLY WAS THERE OUTSIDE THE HOSPICE WHILE TERRI WAS BEING MURDERED doesn't know what they are talking about.

Based on the autopsy report, it is doubtful that she has the mental capacity to be terrified.

Oh really? Please explain to us how a person can experience "euphoria" (as we were told repeatedly that Terri was experiencing) and not terror. Also, don't you think it's possible that thirteen days without hydration will affect the brain?

You suggest the link above?

That page has a feature story advocating that children be allowed to have their life ended by medical means.

That's because the site is dedicated to EXPOSING the culture of death, this does not mean that they SUPPORT it.

I suggest that you go to your room and take your meds.

I suggest you learn some manners and facts.

Some people wallow is misery.

The more miserable it is, the more they wallow and the more they revel in it.

She is gone. It is over. Wallowing in the misery is not productive.

What would be productive would be for you to get enough support that you can go to your representative and insist that he get a law through the state legislature that says that life must be supported with all possible and available medical means; that no life may be terminated either intentionally or through neglect or the withholding of medical support, food, water or any other necessity; so long as any person or entity, whether it be family, church, medical facility or any other entity, will take the responsibility to caring for that person. That the only exception will be where that person has, while still of sound and healthy mind has executed the required documents, signed, notarized and recorded with the clerk of court, in which document that person's wishes are clearly stated.

That would prevent a repeat of the sorry episode.

Such a law would have allowed the family to take over her care.

Wallowing in misery, as most here seem wont to do, accomplishes nothing.

With that, I leave this thread.

Conspiracy theories, crying over how she suffered (terrified) accomplishes nothing.

Do something about it or wallow in misery. Your option.

You're absolutely right, the culture of death loves to wallow in misery, they love it so much that if there isn't any misery they find someone to kill so that they can create misery.

The culture of life REJECTS misery and celebrates the abundance of life that our Lord has given us.

What would be productive would be for you to get enough support that you can go to your representative and insist that he get a law through the state legislature that says that life must be supported with all possible and available medical means

What would be productive for YOU is to read the constitution and laws of Florida. Terri was already protected by it, the law was violated.

And NOBODY is suggesting that ANYBODY be kept alive indefinitely via extraordinary means against their message. Your suggestion that we do is a typical culture of death talking point; it is a lie and they know it, but like all other leftists they recognize the value of propaganda.

>>With that, I leave this thread.

You have finally made an astute statement if you mean it. Since you were shaping up rapidly as a zotworthy troll and FreeRepublic being a pro-life forum, I am sure the wallow to which you return will be more to your tastes.

Nothing at all you warbled was unique, simply an echo of the same tired stuff of trolls long past.

At first I thought there may be a flicker of hope in your early posts as you sounded as if really maybe even an ally, but the ruse is now apparent. It takes more talent than you show to con us. Nice try, but not good enough.

See ya...

Not quite true. The implication that Terrisfight.org is somehow advocating teen euthanasia was a whole new low.

I just chalked that up as an emotionally dumbed down comment by somebody having nothing to say outside of the book of used mantras. It is sort of like wearing a “Zot me!” sign on one’s back.

I don’t know why, there’s dozens of similar thread that he could go back to and plagiarize that the ghoulish rhetoric of some since-zotted troll (who knows, he can probably find something he wrote under a different troll name).

Or do you just prefer to make insults and then ignore the responses?

"Likewise for those who consider the removal of life support akin to murder."

You apparently think this was a case of the removal of extraordinary and futile medical treatment. This was not in fact the case. It was the removal of nutrition and hydration.

These are not extraordinary because they are ordinary necessities for every living person: if they're medical treatment, I'm going to bill my Blue Cross/Blue Shield every time I go to Kentucky Fried Chicken.

And the food and water were not futile: they did just what food and ate are supposed to do, very successully: they kept her nourished and living comfortably.

Food and water do exactly the same thing for you. And if somebody got a court order to glue your lips shut, you'd die of hunger and thirst just as she did.

I didn’t even know RT until I saw him in 2003 at Terri’s successful Vigil so my perspective is never going to be the same as yours. We agree frequently on the Fla boards in case anyone’s interested. Have a nice weekend, guen.

It occurred to me that when your own dad was very depressed and grieving due to the loss of your mother, you didn’t seek any medical attention for his depression but looked at old photos instead. Does your state have Elder Services? Maybe you should go now because negect is very serious and your admissions that you didn’t seek medical attention for your dad are on this thread unless you made up the whole thing.
