Normally, I link without commentary aside from brief quips or quotes.
"You're Next..." Just keep that concept firmly in mind when you remember Terri.
My links lead to much commentary and other links- use them all, and you will "get it," if you do not already.
This is the Roe v Wade of our time. That is why so many are so angry at the GOP and Bush. Roe v Wade defined legally when life begins, at birth, now Terry will define life ends when you can no longer communicate clearly a desire to live. We just can not let that happen. And any so called leader that walks away ain't worth squat.
I've talked to several in my family - my dad and some uncles - who are WWII vets. They're not just horrified, they're outraged. They knew at the time about the euthanasia connection, how it led to the rise of Nazi-ism.
I recommend you read the book "The Culture of Death" by Wesley J. Smith. It will open your eyes wide up to what is actually going on ... Thanks for the tip, and I will read it. These deathbringers are on the march everywhere - not just in the US.
If Judge Greer ordered that it was lawful for you to beat your wife would Jeb step in? -- These courts have a cadre of bandits who leech off these courts. Most of these local courts use and select their own guardian's ad litem, court experts, etc. All of these folks make thier living off the court. Drive around the court house and look at the offices and organizations directly around the court house. Every lawyer knows about getting "hometowned" and understands what this means.
-- a morphine drip has been administered by medical staff at her hospice to help her ease her pain --
HOSPICE EXIT PROTOCOL FOR TERRI
Read the actual exit protocol found in Terri's medical file Exit Protocol. The document details the list of nacotics that is being given to Terri to hasten her death. The exit protocol ends with the statement, "Thank you for the opportunity to collaborate regarding this patient's care."
Read the Symptom Management Order for Terri Symptom Pain Management
The document was signed by Dr. Victor Gambone, the doctor who falsely certified that Terri was terminally ill in April 2000. This document details the amount of morphine being given to Terri.
Scientology's town-- Clearwater, Florida- in Pinellas County (2004) -- Great links and info on Clearwater Scientologists tie in with judge Greer, the Pinellas legal establishment and the Clearwater political establishment
Scientology Vs Terri Schindler Schiavo
Think Terry's Fight does not affect, or apply, to you?
Think again.
Got a recessive gene? Old parent or spouse? Handicapped child?
At what point do they become "a useless Eater"-- like Terry?
All you geezers that moved to Florida for low taxes & mild weather? You're next...
Just as the Pope predicted, we have become a Cult of Death--

If we had a copy online, everyone needs to see the Nazi film, "Dasein Ohne Leben" - Existence without life. There is a chilling speech in which a professor states that if the insane or disabled could speak, they would ask to be killed.
Memories of that film and the horror it inspired haunt me as I read about Terri.

Is this guy is up for judicial extermination because he is on what some call "life support"?

TREATING STUDENTS ON THE SPOT. . . HMS nurses grab students on the run when activities are in high gear. During the annual art show, Anita Rickards (left) stopped Derrick in the hall to administer a tube feeding, while Colleen McGowan-Hardin (right) did the same with Joey to keep the boys on schedule without interfering in their fun.

I believe the Schindlers did not have the legal representation they needed to fight the army aligned against them. It's a sad sad day that cases are decided not on their merits or constitutional importance, but by how high-profile or fashionable your attorney is.

Every day of Terri's state sponsored death watch we hear
from her family that she is responding...yet the doctors and nurses and Michaels press corps say she is brain dead or in a PVS
Her "doctor" must be very frustrated...he just cant seem to be able to kill her...must be very embarrassing for him...
They refused her the care she really needs and instead starve her and deny her water...a death not even 'they' would wish on an animal at the shelter..
They try to kill her with morphine and she still wont die on time for them..
What are HEALTH CARE professionals to do?...poor things...
We expect the democrats and their culture of death nabobs to do these kinds of things to innocents like Terri
We expected the Republicans to stop them..
All they seem to be able to say is "They would like to but they cant"
Cant? or Wont? seems to be the question that needs an answer.
Of course if you wait long enough the question will be moot
Seems to be all our leaders favorite strategy
imo

Gosh - I am impressed - thank you.
Funny, seems I remember your name as one who I was in opposition to over the years (don't know on what), now I totally agree.
To ignore what is going on and accepting it as just normal business means you support it or just cannot see the dangers to your children and their future.
I have been amazed that people in Australia and Scotland have sized up what is going on here - even sounding like one of us - while a whole section of FR posters support the other side. Hmmm....wonder why?
Here is the Scotland view.

Yesterday I heard Nat Hentoff said Felos was being helped by the ACLU. The Schindlers got outlawyered. The person with the bigger bucks prevails. That's our court system.
Thanks for taking the time to put together these links.

I believe the Schindlers did not have the legal representation they needed to fight the army aligned against them.I don't think any lawyer could have brought about a different outcome. I believe Felos judge-shopped to get a judge who detests the handicapped--once he was successful in that, the outcome was predetermined. Remember, Greer conveniently disregarded any testimony that would not support his predetermined conclusion that this innocent woman should be murdered.

Thanks for your hard work.
Governor Bush's FAX line is 850-921-9077. I've got another fax (and I sent an email this morning that will be followed by a fax).
What happened to the American Spirit of 9-11??
We cheered for those who survived and cried with those who lost loved ones.
Yet, today, we are cheering for those who starve and dehydrate and discounting those who cry and beg for the life of their loved one.
Something is wrong in America. America's heart no longer beats free. America is dying from the heart out.

Knock off the personal attacks.
To: Griptilian
Yes, it's all a premeditated conspiracy. "THEY" have all been out to kill her for years. Kook.
I didn't mention a "they" (other than the Schindlers). I said an army, which means alot of people, which is true. There are alot of people in the right-to-die/quality-of-life camp who have alot at stake in this case. I didn't say conspiracy either, although it does seem that you have a paranoia about those whom you term "kooks". Ad hominem attacks won't win you any arguments.
I know it doesn't fit into a lot of people's conspiracy theories as well as their own personal agendas, but did you ever wonder if she really did not want to live like this? Does that thought ever cross your mind, or does propping up a brain dead woman [proved time and time again] to be your personal sock-and-puppet show to push your agenda onto others and that mercy may never be given by a spouse who honored her wishes?
I don't know whether or not she wanted to live like this or not, and neither do you. I prefer not to starve people whose wishes I am not sure of. She's not brain dead, she's not even in a coma. Get your facts straight. The only care being given her is food and water, what we all need to survive. That is not extraordinary care.
I'm not looking to push an agenda on anyone, I'm not looking to push death on anyone either. "Mercy"? Mercy is love and care, not killing someone to put them out of our misery. The right-to-die folks would argue she's a vegetable and feels nothing. Well if she feels nothing, what are you sparing her from?
Nobody has proved any law has been broken. Many ignorant television viewers have tried in dozens of worthless vanity posts after seeing an episode of 'LA Law'.
As to the law, suicide and assisted suicide are against the law. But under the guise of "mercy" and the direction of a guardian for someone who can't speak for themselves, it's OK to starve someone. And those who would argue about states rights and court orders need only look to the case of Elian Gonzales to see that is ignored when it suits an agenda.
Many of these same people, you included, believe there is some sort of conspiracy going on. Yes! That must be it! In no way could it be her wishes being carried out.
Again, I don't know where you get the idea I think there is a "conspiracy".
What are you going to do when you realize that your agenda\conspiracy puppet is gone? Who will you exploit then?
When those of us who believe in the sanctity of life, in humanity, decency, constitutional rights, compassion and loving thy neighbor, of caring for those unable to speak for themselves, when we are gone, what will you do?

Good point. It's not enough to say that I feel your pain and then fail to use the executive order. Right now Ralph Nader is speaking out for Terri. It will bite Jeb in the end if he tries to run for president should he fail to use his executive powers.

Thanks for your hard work, Heavy Equipment Guy. I have to bookmark this and come back to it later, when I have more strength of spirit. Thanks for looking. I know what you mean by "more strength of spirit"-- this has been a taxing issue from many angles. I had to disconnect my first wife from life support after a stroke got her, although in her case there was no question her brain was gone. And she had specifically told me to do this in such a case. Besides that, she was handicapped-- c-5 quadiplegic... one level higher of break, and she could not have breathed on her own. Even so, we had eight good and happy years together. There's more to life than being fully able-bodied, contrary to what some people think.
So this subject digs its claws in at several levels. But I do know this- we are witnessing the forced killing, under color of law, of an inconvienient person, and this is an abomination.

I also am a touch weary - we keep whacking the corpse of Nazism over the head, yet it continues to try and scramble out of the grave. That is because Nazism was only it's latest form. Did you know that almost every tribe on earth has the almost the same name? It translates to some variation of "The Real People" with the logical following that everyone else is "Not-real People".
Assigning non-person status to the disabled is just an extension of that way of thinking. They are different so they are not real.
