An examination of both Obama's statements and his Senate votes demonstrates something very different from the consistency that he and his supporters have claimed for him. It demonstrates instead a record of problematically ad-hoc judgments at best, calculatingly cynical judgments at worst. Almost as soon as the war began Obama had second thoughts about his opposition to it. As he told the Chicago Tribune in July 2004, "There's not much difference between my position and George Bush's position at this stage." In September 2004 Obama said that even though Bush had "bungled his handling of the war," simply pulling out "would make things worse." In November he once again confirmed his intention to stay the course in Iraq in an interveiw with PBS's Charlie Rose. "Once we go in, then we're committed," he said adding: "We've got to do everything we can to stabilize the country, to make it successful, because we have too much at stake in the Middle East." But in October 2006 Obama said we had to initiate quickly a "phased withdraw." Within a mere matter of weeks Obama had moved to align himself with the most extreme critics of the war. This re-positioning coincided with the announcement of his presidential candidacy in February 2007.

just two weeks ago on a radio interview with Smerconish he said “Not that I was against the war.” Smerconish didn’t challenge him then or later that I heard. You’d think his Moveon fans would feel betrayed.

Obama talks from both sides of his mouth, depending on the time of day...
Hopefully, this piece of trash will eventually be identified as the Manchurian candidate with the smile of Urkel.
“... a one-term United States Senator who arrived in Washington in 2005 with no foreign-policy experience, after an uneventful eight-year stint in the Illinois state senate, possesses the wisdom, the clear-sightedness, and the judgment to assume the responsibilities of the nations commander in chief.”
We’re doomed if Obambi is elected.
I keep thinking of the people who jumped from the WTC to avoid incineration. Horrifying.
