Lexington superintendent threatened by radio host By Ian B. Murphy and Bryan Mahoney/Staff Writers Mon Apr 07, 2008, 12:12 PM EDT Lexington -

Lexington - Lexington superintendent Paul Ash has been threatened by a New Jersey radio host urging listeners to “use threats and violence” against Ash for the school district’s new diversity curriculum.

Web radio host Hal Turner, a white supremacist whose show is broadcast at www.halturnershow.com, says on his site he “advocate[s] parents using FORCE AND VIOLENCE against Superintendent Paul B. Ash as a method of defending the health and safety of school children presently being endangered through his politically-correct indoctrination into deadly, disease-ridden sodomite lifestyles.”

In his description of his site Turner says "Don't expect 'fairness' or 'balance;' that's not what this show is about. This program focuses on issues, news and opinions that the mainstream will not talk about."

The site lists Ash’s last known addresses, a phone number, and a birth date.

Lexington police have refused comment on an ongoing investigation. Ash lives in Newton, and the police department there is handling the case. That department also refused comment on the investigation.

Ash said the Newton Police Department issued a “security detail” for him and his family, though could not say what it entails. He said he was contacted about the Web site Saturday afternoon at about 2 p.m. by a television reporter, and afterward called the police.

The bottom line, Ash said, is that the school district will continue with its curriculum.

“It’s important to teach diversity and tolerance,” he said Monday afternoon. “It’s a big world out there and people don’t respect other races (and backgrounds).”

Ash gave a presentation on the curriculum last month, and it will be implemented next school year. The curriculum comes from a committee of parents, teachers and administrators in Lexington who were charged to develop a set of teaching that fostered “a safe and welcoming place for all children.”

The goal of the curriculum was to “serve students from different racial, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds,” and to “serve students from [gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered] families.”

The Lexington school administration developed the diversity curriculum to address topical classroom issues highlighted by an ongoing lawsuit filed in 2006.

The suit was filed by two families, the Parkers and Wirthlins, after the Parkers’ son, Jacob, brought home a book as part of the diversity book bag from his Estabrook Elementary kindergarten class in 2005. The book, “Who’s in a Family,” showed various family types including a same-sex-headed household, as well as single parents and grandparents raising children. The Wirthlins’ son, Joey, who was then in first grade, was in class on a day that marriage was the topic. At the time, a book on a prince marrying another prince was read to the class, “King and King.”

David Parker was arrested in April 2005 after refusing to leave a meeting with the principal and a curriculum director. Parker demanded his child be removed from any discussion regarding sexuality and homosexuality, including spontaneous discussions within the classroom.

In January 2008, a three-judge panel of the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an earlier decision to dismiss the federal lawsuit, although an appeal is still possible.

“We do not suggest that the school’s choice of books for young students has not deeply offended the plaintiffs’ sincerely held religious beliefs,” said the decision, written by Circuit Judge Sandra Lynch. “If the school system has been insufficiently sensitive to such religious beliefs, the plaintiffs may seek recourse to the normal political processes for change in the town and state.”

Ash said the district has received mostly positive feedback about the curriculum. One parent objected, and shared some of the same concerns as David Parker, Ash said.

I am proud of Dr. Ash and the LPS for their careful development of a diversity curriculum. It is critical that our children are supported in this way. I hope that the LPS will continue also to work on reducing stigma that faces kids with disabilities, continue to start talking about diversity in families early on, and continue to educate for the future of our community: a community that will have all kinds of diversity.

When I read this over, all I could think was, "wow, if only they taught this stuff to us when I was in elementary school". I love it: children need to be taught to love, not allowed to hate.
Now we need a GSA at the middle-schools. I guarantee there's at least several students NOW in Diamond and Clark that would more than benefit from it. And to anyone who plays the "they're too young to know about it" card about putting a GSA in the middle schools; pardon my tongue, but if they're old enough to know how a penis goes into a vagina (fifth-grade health class), they're old enough to know that it's okay for two guys to love each other.
For what he's done thus far, endless thanks to Paul Ash! Keep it up!

And while I’m at it, little Bryan with a “Y” and Ian can shove it too. The little faggots just love linking the white supremecist with opposition to the Homo/gay/lesbian/transgender/bi-fag agenda.

The faggotization of America continues thanks to people like this girl judge. Yeah, I said it! “Girl judge!”

So a website is being used to slur talk radio.

There is no “radio” transmission in webcasting.

Words mean things. Socialists lie. Always.

Pravda had better tactics than this bit of yellow journalism.

He should also ask to be exempt from any discussion regarding monarchies since the school administrators clearly have their heads up their posteriors if they think there is any historical precedence to two men marrying and EACH being king of the kingdom.

They took analogies out of school testing years ago in Massachusetts. Now I understand why, it's easier to argue socialist and Marxist values without logic.

It used to be a morals charge to corrupt a minor by instructing him in such things before puberty.

So much for the damn lie that Lawrence v. Texas was either about consenting ADULTS or activities in PRIVATE.

It fastracked the homosexual agenda into your classrooms.

The typical approach of painting “the normal outrage as the deviant” in order to engage the deviant as the normal. Progressive thinking.

Conservatives ( Christian and non-Christian) in response to this government school indoctrination, will sit and cook like frogs in slowly warming water.

Obviously, the Liberal/Marxist have full control of the press, arts, media, colleges and universities, and **government schools**! Solve the government school problem and the other areas of media, arts, and academia will take care of themselves!

How conservatives fix this?

Answer: We must SHUT DOWN government schooling!

1) Remove your own children from the government schools today!

2) Conservatives ( Christian and non-Christian) should start private scholarship foundation that would award private vouchers to children attending **conservative** private schools. Also, these foundations should award grants to conservative teachers willing to open mini-schools, one room school houses, dame schools, tutoring centers, or be coordinators of homeschool cooperatives.

3) Conservatives ( Christian and non-Christian) could certify their voucher schools and teachers, develop curriculum, and test the students.

4) The private scholarship funds need to organize team sporting leagues. ( The government school monopoly on team sports that funnel athletes into the bid leagues must be broken!)

5) Organize parents and the community to vote for legislators dedicated to SHUTTING DOWN the govenrmnent school Marxist madrassas. Government schools must be starved of both students and money!

Can we do it? YES! We could do it if conservatives wanted!

We must abandon the Prussian model of brick and mortar schooling. It is archaic! It is expensive and burdened with many zoning and employee regulations. It is inefficient for the student and teacher. With today's technology and excellent curriculum ( Thanks homeschoolers!) every child in this nation could have access to the best education humankind has ever seen!

Think of all the money that is raised in one presidential campaign. Colleges and universities across the nation have endowments in the BILLIONS! Yes, it is possible to give **every** child in this nation ( possibly the world) an outstanding **conservative** education.

Then in a short 12 years students would move into the universities **prepared** to confront their Marxist professors. On graduation these students would move into the media, academia, politics, business, and the professions. In 12 short years we could begin to turn around a nation ( and possibly the entire world.)

Regarding churches:

FORGET CHURCHES! They are NOT going to step forward and do what is right! Their pews are filled with government teachers and others who suck and the government school pig trough! Few ministers will bite the hand that feeds them.

Ok...Some will ask what am I personally doing?

My husband and I give 1% of our yearly income to our church scholarship fund. Imagine if every Christian did that? Every child in this nation could the opportunity to attend a private Christian school.

**Please** read post #12. I have posted a solution.

I am utterly exasperated! Why do conservatives sit like frogs in slowly warming water?

We’re doing that. But not many people know that this is going on. The MSM won’t report on this. And as you know wintertime, the right-wing talk show hosts won’t either.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

You mean the Three Stooges: Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly?

Yep! It really **steams** me! These guys are complete weenies! When it comes to any homosexual issue they rival the Scarecrow in the “Wizard of Oz”.

Rush, Sean, and O’Reilly are ***scared to death*** of the homosexual activists!

Also...While they take occasional pot shots at the government schools I have NEVER heard them do the following: ( yes, I am shouting!)

1) Tell their audience to take their kids out immediately.

2) Explain that MARXISTS and homosexual control our government schools.

3) Tell their audience that government schools need to be SHUT DOWN!

Personally, I think the Three Stooges are afraid of offending the many listeners in the audience who are addicted to the government school free babysitting.

In California, you may no longer be able to home school if you do not posess a college degree in education AND you will not be permitted to remove your children from state mandated sex ed classes.

The State WILL indoctrinate your children, citizen.

Bill Bennett was discussing this morning how inner city Catholic schools are in decline for a number of reasons. Rising costs, in part because of more lay people who must be paid teaching the students. Also costly lawsuits and settlements by the Catholic Church have left fewer dollars to fund schools.

And there are large segments of the black community that SUPPORT school vouchers. They see the two tier system of public and private schools where there is a difference between the schools citizens and politicians can afford to send their kids.

However, a privately established voucher system can keep the government from setting the curriculum.

I don’t listen to Sean or O’Reilly. O’Really doesn’t strike me as very conservative. A former tabloid tv host who shrugs anytime the topic of religion comes up (he says that won’t win over any moderates to converative politics and it makes Republicans look “weird”).

Rush is “busy” with grandstanding over “Operation Chaos” (I will say that he has been influential but not the only factor in the continued headaches and disagreements in the Democrat party). He discusses other issues at times. None come to mind right now. He’s off air for a couple of days.

He’s congratulated home schools when they’ve called in. He had a stepdaughter under his last wife but he didn’t discuss his home life much (unlike say Walter Williams).

There’s also Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham, Michael Reagan, Michael Medved, Walter Williams, Mike Gallagher and others. They don’t all cover the same topics.

It is very difficult to shut down the very ineffective government funding of schools as the Democrat party is trying to nationalize healthcare (and eliminate private practice).

Encroachment must be stopped. It is difficult to fight a two front war.

Enlightening the public to the expansions of “Big Government” and tyrannical socialism could put a halt to ALL of the encroachment on all fronts. But it won't come easy.

McCain is a liberal Republican. But unlike Obama and Clinton, he is not a Marxist. Perhaps now our nation can discuss Communism, Marxism, and Socialism without be branded “witchhunters”.
