I just got off the phone with David Olofson. You may remember hes the Wisconsin resident whos awaiting sentencing for transferring ownership of a machine gun. You may also remember it was an AR-15 that miss-fired giving off a burst and then jamming. The story has been on the Lou Dobbs Report on CNN.
Last night Lou reported that the sentencing hearing has been set for May 8th. David has been railroaded by the ATF. There is an indication that he was set up by the ATF. Jeff Knox of the Firearms Coalition relayed to me that the ATF has been after David because hes been successfully defending people on CCW and open carry issues here in Wisconsin.
Davids case is the same as cases sited in The Gang. If you dont own that dvd from the JPFO, you should!
Davids present case has been in the system now for two years. Wisconsins law states a speedy disposition of a case should be 90 days.
I plan to be there when the sentence is finally determined. Id like very much to have people with me David says the more the merrier!
He can be reached at olofson@charter.net for those who want to send notes of support. He gave me permission to give out his addy.
You can check the story out at the Lou Dobbs Report. Lou is outraged
Hopefully, all freepers in the vicinty of the trial in WI will show up to support this guy.
ping!
Hi guys....can one of you please ping your gun list? Thanks!
This is certainly interesting, but it sounds as if it is all nearly settled, and that there is nothing that we can do.
Is there anything that we can do for this particular case?
Paging Henry Bowman...
Hi Marktwain, for one thing we need to spread the word about the corruption of the BATFE. We need to encourage an examination of their practices. They are the American Gestapo. Check the JPFO website for more information. David has not yet been sentenced and there is still a possibility of his case being turned on appeal. Keep your eyes open for possible government “funny stuff.”
Showing support for David can’t hurt.
If this gets big enough David could even get bigger legal help. Just my thought.
