And where do you suppose the Scots-Irish who settled the Carolinas originally came from? Small towns in Pennsylvania in the 1700s and 1800s. Look at the Pennsylvania place names if you need proof of the Scots-Irish heritage—Armaugh, Donegal, Grampian, Edinboro, and on and on.

So, this numbskull is smearing small town Pennsylvanians as bitter, bigoted, religious extremists who tote guns around fixin’ to shoot every minority and illegal in sight, huh? Wait this gets spread around in Pennsylvania. This guy will be burnt toast. I’ve talked to Reagan Democrat types, blue collar workers in my small town in Pennsylvania. They’re very interested in John McCain. They can’t stand the elitist snob Obama.

Right on! My family emigrated with the Boone family (Scots-Irish) from Bucks County, Pennsylvannia to the Forks of the Yadkin in North Carolina in 1750.
