This small town Western Pennsylvanian (even Pittsburgh is a small town) is mighty p.o’d at this garbage. We are flyover country. The elites on the coasts have always thought they were better than the rest of us hard working small town, church going, gun owning Americans.

This isn’t going away.

Obama and his wife complain about student loans for IVY LEAGUE schools. My heart bleeds for them. Must be hard to pay back school loans with a combined income over a million. This guy’s wife went to Zanesville, Ohio and talked to stay at home moms there, telling them to not go into hedge funds as a career. HUH?

Elites. The entire democratic party has turned into a bunch of anti American snobs. And why don’t we EVER see the snob Obama standing with anyone in the military? Is he allergic to them?

Rendell just remarked a year ago and how well our economy is doing. I guess he didn’t get the memo that “all the jobs have gone away”

I guess we’ve only become “bitter” since Obama began his campaign.

Will anyone in the MSM have the guts to ask any of these Obama donors why they’re donating money to a millionaire but not to all of the starving children Obama keeps claiming are all over the country? Why does the millionaire Obama need their money more than the children?

Wait, that would mean we have a media.

Nevermind.

The exact phrase is:

“So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Pure Marxism. Religion is the opiate of the (bitter) people.
\

And naturally bitterness causes anti-immigrant sentiment because after all, those iillegals deserve to take whitey’s jobs. They worked so hard to sneak across the border.

funny John McCain would agree with above..two party system my A$$.
Can’t forget McCain’s answer to voter who dared to ask why he pushed amnesty: “yah, we get it secure the border first”
We have no leader who will stand up for the people..selling us all out as quick as they can. McCain and o bum a one and the same.

Obama was revealed to be even more arrogant (and ignorant) than his darlin' wife.

This is the most fun I've had in ages. A Dem battle royale.

Between a candidate who lies when the truth would do better (Hillary in Bosnia).

And a Dem who tells the truth about what he believes when a lie would do better (Obama on guns and religion).

ROFL

One who lies when the truth would do better.

And one who tells the truth when a lie would better serve.

Very well put.

I hope Obama’s limo and entourage break down in some small town in Pennsylvania, the South, or the Midwest, you know, where all those “bitter” and “religious” people live. Maybe before his elitist lawyer trash talking mouth stepped in it, those salt of the earth folks might have helped him out. After speaking down to them from his lofty elistist pedestal he put his sorry self on, those same food folks might just let him sit and rot.

I could think of a couple thousand reasons NOT to vote for Obama -- but this isn't one of them.

I really don't see what he said as "calling small-town America, racist". In fact, I think that his statement was pretty accurate, "Ivy-league, big-city Black man telling them not to be cynical about government" IS likely to be viewed with skepticism in small-town America. For once, he was telling the truth!

Good point. This is the difference between the elitist liberal like Obama, and the populist liberal like Edwards.

Mellencamp supported Edwards. I cannot believe people like him could support Obama. Some will vote for Hillary!, some will vote for McCain.

Obama is an American hater
is is a racist towards whites
he is elitist towards the working class

Now the question is when will the media say what he really is instead of saying well Obama doesnt agree with wright etc

er yes he does other wise he wouldn’;t have been there for 20 years

even more amazing is that whites will still vote for this anti american racist loon

mind boggling

why is it that many of those who live in Boston, san fran, chicago, new york have such an elitist attitude

I lived ion Boston for some time and the eleitist attitude there is acceptable to them ,actually they think nothing wrong with it at all

all dem liberal cities, and yet the libs and dems say they are supposed to be for the working class

time for many people to wake up before they go to vote

"why is it that many of those who live in Boston, san fran, chicago, new york have such an elitist attitude"

Social Darwinism. If I have more money than you, am better educated than you, am more worldly than you and am higher up on the social food chain than you, then "I AM better than you" is the thinking. I act, you just react to what I do, because I am more powerful than you are. It's narcissism at its worst.

When people put aside all notions of good and evil, of right and wrong, and when there is no longer a collective agreement about what is moral and immoral, then it is just about survival of the fittest. And given that our political leadership has mindsets closer to these city-dellers than to those of small town America, right now, the city dweller are "the fittest".

Obama Fights Back With A Historic Speech on Rednecks

"Here's how it is: in a lot of these communities in big industrial states like Ohio and Pennsylvania, people have been beaten down so long, and they feel so betrayed by government, and when they hear a pitch that is premised on not being cynical about government, then a part of them just doesn't buy it."
And well they shouldn't because his message is complete and utter BS.
Will Obama's higher taxes bring jobs to these towns?
Nope.
Will his reregulations get the towns economies going?
Nope.
Will his catering to San Fran gay activists and leftist unions take America in the direction that small-town citizens want it to go in?
Nope.
He offers the Politics of Hyped-up Socialism.
YES WE SHOULD BE CYNICAL. GOVT DOESNT WORK AND POWER CORRUPTS.

Obama wants to end world poverty on the very same small town people back's who he mocks.

Obama will deliver the United States to the United Nations. He derides American's pennilessness and joblessness. Obama's support for the Global Poverty Act (S.2433) would require the United States to spend $845 billion ($845,000,000,000.00) on welfare to third-world countries. This amounts to a tax of over $2,000 on each man, woman and child in the United States. The foreign aid budget now stands at $300 billion; the Act would add the additional expenditure to the already huge amount allocated to assist the world.

What this country needs is to eliminate the United Nations, and to eliminate NAFTA in favor of fair trade for Americans, not 'free trade', which has enabled the UNited Nations to become a formidable force on it's own, and for this country to be stripped of it's manufacturing capabilities. Manufacturing is the key to a nation's wealth.
