The TV talk show Dr. Phil McGraw confirmed on Saturday the fact that its staff bailed out of Florida jail one of the girls involved in the violent video posted on YouTube. The video depicted several teen girls beating one of their classmates while filming her.
Mercades Nichols is one of the eight teen girls who face charges in the case of the vicious beating posted on YouTube. She was bailed out by a representative of the show on Friday night, MyFOXTampaBay.com reported.
The bails for the violent girls were set on Friday and they are ranging from $30,000 to $37,000. The girls are aged from 14 to 18.

The Dr. Phil representative was waiting by the jail’s exit, and when Nichols walked out, he tried to block Tampa TV station camera people from getting video of Nichols and her family leaving jail.

I fortunately missed that stunt. But Brittany does command the economy ... or at least that is what I heard while surfing the cable news shows some weeks back.
Mary Nichols, the grandmother of one of the girls who was arrested, says her family is suffering, too.
The beating is alleged to have happened at Nichols’ house while she was at work.
The tape shows Lindsey being beaten and taunted as other teenagers shout in the background. Nichols’ granddaughter, Mercades Nichols, 17, remains in the Polk Regional Juvenile Detention Center along with six other minors who were arrested in the case. Nichols described Mercades as “really a loving, caring kid.”
“This is definitely traumatic to everyone, not just to Tori’s family,” Nichols said Tuesday.
Tori was staying at Nichols’ Lakeland home because she was having problems with her family, police and Nichols said.
This is just downright sick. Bailing out someone who hospitalized a girl and wrecked her hearing and vision. So that they could be on a TV show? So that they could finish the job they started on the poor girl?
According to news reports, the bail was around $33,000 & had to be put up in cash or collateral.
Somehow, I doubt that the Dr Phil Show petty cash box had that much sitting around in change; so the idea that a staff member did this alone is ridiculous.
I blame Dr. Phil 100%.
Either he approved of this, or he didn’t and allows people to do truly foolish things on his behalf and in his name.
Either way, Dr. Phil seems to operate without morals or ethics.

My guess is that the mother agreed to go on Dr. Phil’s show in exchange for the bail money.

The press has tried to present this case as “cheerleaders gone wild”. In real life, the young ladies involved came from lower, lower, lower middle class, dysfunctional families- they’d be called chavs in England. Let’s just say, you wouldn’t want any of them- including the victim’s family- as neighbors.
Dr. Phil is a no-talent Goober who belongs in a Trailer Park where his advice can really be appreciated. Whoever did this--ponied up bail for this violent and conscienceless little pig--is doing Dr. Phil no favors. He will get some very, very bad PR.
And--to the other posters--don't bother to respond with the fallacious "any PR is good PR" nonsense. It isn't.
IMO, his is a "profession" in the same way that Islam is a "religion."

It usually takes me about 5 minutes to get my wife to change the channel when DR. PHILTH is on TV. The man is a fraud, pandering to the female crowd.

I have never had to get involved with a bail bondsman, but the assumption I have if you use a bail bondsman, you only need 10% of the bail, with the rest provided by the bail bondsman. The bondsman keep your 10% as his fee.
Dr. Phils people had to bail her out. Jerry Springers people were all too busy.
I’m gonna watch him on Monday long enough to see who his advertisers are. His attempt to “clintonize” his way out of this might work with the sheep that watch his show, but it won’t work with advertisers
I’ve started a clock on how long it’s going to be until one of these animals finally kills someone. It won’t take too many leaps to do that. They are no better than those who abuse aniamls. How many of those take “the next step”? One of those girls WILL kill someone. Just a matter of time.
As for that skanky teen...her fanny should be sitting in a jail cell.I was shocked and tickled to see the judge lay down some harsh rules for those girls and that he plans to try them as adults...it's just about time an official makes an example out of these “ wild animals” that pass for some of our children...we are reaping the Fed. gov. take over of our educational system years ago...and of course all the pandering political correct nonsense and last ,but certainly not least...NO DISCIPLINE. Kids now a days have not had to learn there are consequences for ones’ actions.
