In what has become an annual rite of passage, University of Colorado students are being subjected this month to a round of diversity workshops preaching that all whites are racist.
The latest round, hosted by the university's women's resource center last Friday, was titled "White on White Taskforce: Acting to Dismantle Racism." According to organizers, it was "designed to give White people tools to dismantle racism on campus."
At the workshop, students received a handout espousing the "underlying assumptions" of its leaders. Most notably, it read "reverse racism is impossible," meaning that non-whites cannot be racist. And also of interest, the handout proclaimed that "racism is part of a system of interlocking oppressions, including sexism, heterosexism, economic oppression, and able-body-ism."
Able-body-ism. That's one I've never heard before.

What are they putting in the water there? They would create a better environment on campus if they made all professors take a course that showed them some of the past consequences of Marxism.
They gave those mandatory training sessions at two companies that I have worked for. After not showing up at the assigned times, I received subtle threats from the HR people. After a few weeks, I never heard from them again. P. S. I have climbed Mt. Antero and Mt. Shavano before in my younger days. I was in Salida at my summer geology field camp.
What, no mention of ageism? They must be saving that one for Letterman and Leno to mock McCain in their monologues.
Funny you bring this up. I heard a while back that the fish in Boulder Creek are dying from all the estrogen in the water. The estrogen is a result of the high soy diets of the hippies here.
Awesome! Did you find any gems on Antero? My father in law and I went after it rained and found a 2 inch long quartz crystal in the middle of the road.
Guess that one isn't very high on the list of college Marxists...er students.
I live near South Boulder Creek. Luckily I am upstream from Boulder and have my own private well.
It’s been about fifty years since this all began. Apparently your efforts have failed and it might be time to bring them to an end as they seem to be simply ineffective.
Some very small samples but it was easy to see that the peak had been heavily picked over through the years. Someone needs to go up there with a couple sticks of dynamite and work the place over. We also climbed Simmons Peak (around 12,000’). It is the northernmost peak on the Sangre de Christos. It is I believe one of only two places in the USA where you can find carbonatite, which is a form of igneous calcite. Not the prettiest rock in the world but it earned me some browny points with my professor.
Heaven forbid there be any actual intellectual freedom in a university environment.
I climbed Mt. Elbert in my early days and loved it. I hope to go back again and climb it some day.

Boulder : perpetual victims.
