You need to remember that opposition the church hierarchy, particularly the Pope is the basis of Liberation Theology. They include the Catholic Church as on of the great oppressors of the poor.

Silly me, I “forgot” that Snob-oma and Queen Evita have gotten “religion” and both have deep “values beliefs” and a “vibrant faith in God.” Of course, both of them are so “wise” and “insightful” that every other Thursday when St. Gabriel the Archangel takes the day off, Snob-oma and Queen Evita deign to graciously assist the Almighty in running the universe!
