How so? Rush and we listeners ARE the fairness doctrine.
Do I need remind you that we would NOT be saddled with that flaming RINO McLame were it not for the Dhummies having done the same thing to us in the early primaries???
No you're not, not even remotely but that's not the point. The airwaves, unlike say a newspaper or arguably the Internet, are not private property but rather public property. Using public property to advance one political ideology over another, or better said, to the exclusion of the other is, again arguably, improper. Neither Limbaugh nor the owners of the stations he speaks on have an Constitutional right to those airwaves. They are public property and their use can be conditioned howsoever the government desires...like the use of a public forest or park or the funds of the Federal Reserve.
Generally in politics pay is a b*tch. If the Ds win in November, expect a “payback” to Limbaugh and the rest of the right wing talk show crowd. Its just the way it is. Maybe Limbaugh has figured this out and determined that the only hope he can stay on the air is to keep the Ds from winning since, as he and others have pointed out, the Fairness Doctrine the Ds want to restore spells the end of right wing talk radio because “balancing” will simply be uneconomical and market forces will “force” Rush and his fellows off the air.
The claim that the media “forced” (which it didn't, we simply didn't have viable candidates) execrable McCain on us is neither here nor there vis a vis the blow back from Operation Chaos.
