Well, I'm kind of down with this sentiment. Kind of like to p**s on this guy right now, in fact.
I don’t know about that guy, but God gave America a pretty big one.
The US is strong and rich because we have stolen it all from the rest of the world. Our wealth and power has nothing to do with freedom, hard work, or the efficiency of capitalism.
The leftists of the world actually believe this, because it is the only thin reed left to support their Marxist world view. They are in cognitive dissonance, where reality and their world view contradict each other, so they have to come up with silly, convoluted theories to explain why it is so.

An additional joke is that he (Reade) thinks Kerry voters worry about what the rest of the world thinks of Americans. Even Democrats are largely apathetic about the opinion of the rest of the world. Only a few elite liberals care.
And, of course, conservatives don't care what Europe or the rest of the world thinks.
