I agree.. If the Government bans one religion, what makes you think that the Government is just going to stop at Islam?? Nope... Once you give the Government more power, they are not going to give up that power..

Guys like this don’t know what they’re really asking. They’ve no clue what happens to societies where words and ideas are criminalized. They scare me even more than the Muslims do.

Because Christianity is protected in our constitution. Further, there is no separation of church and state written anywhere in the constitution. The constitution simply states that the government shall not interfere with the church, make no law in rspect of the church.

separation of church and state is actually a connon law of the church, where the government runs the nations business, while the church runs it's business and is responsible for the morality of society.

Restricting the teaching of the bible in schools or public preaching of the bible is actually a violation of our constitution.

This is really quite a good idea, but needs to be approached from a different direction.

The US has for centuries banned numerous religious practices, e.g. virgin sacrifice. No court has reversed or, in my opinion, would DREAM of of reversing such bans.

Therefore, the fully Constitutional and precedent-oriented way to go about this is to pick out specific ''Islamic'' acts and practices that are unlawful already if not performed under the aegis of religion, and ban or otherwise make unlawful these assorted practices specifically in all cases.

Wouldn't be too difficult to persuade one hell of a lot of Islamists (a small redundancy, sorry) to boogie on out of here. Just a matter of picking the right practices to ban in order to annoy them sufficiently.

The US Constitution is not a death pact. So according to you, we have to die to prove that we are not anti-Religious. Besides according to the Islamist we already do not have freedom of Religion because in there religion Shira law is there religion and because we do not have it we do not have freedom of Religion.
Also, if you read the words of the Founding Fathers, that freedom of Religion was to cover the various factions of Christianity, so as not to create hostility or put one above the other. Islam does not believe in living together but in being superior. This amendment would ban anything that would destroy the cohesion of the USA.
