I do not follow sports, so maybe what I learned today is old news: Monterey has an indoor soccer team called La Raza! I am 99% sure that is what I heard on the radio this morning as I was flipping around the AM channels and heard part of a sports report. If I am wrong I hope someone will correct me.

“Somehow I question whether the citizens of LA have the guts to get the job done?”
Excuse me, but immigration and the borders are federal matters and jurisdictions.
If it were up to most Angelenos and most Southern Californians, we would pick up every illegal swinging dick and truck ‘em back down to TJ’s...
BUT, WE DO NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY!
And even if we did have the authority to deport;
what good would it do as long as the border is WIDE OPEN!
hellooooooooooooooooooooooo...
“Collifornia?”
You must have went to public schools.LOL
“But then again, the citizens of Collifornia disarmed themselves over 30 years ago”
And you obviously don’t know many Southern Californians.
“and are now incapable of thinking in those terms?”
I don’t know what country you live in;
but what you are suggesting is illegal, genius!
And we have a federal department, ICE, that is SUPPOSED to be deporting illegals and a POTUS who is supposed to be in charge of securing our borders.
If we had a POTUS who would have been doing his job for the past seven years; we wouldn’t be in the fix we’re in today.
re: “Note what is clutched in the left claw of the raven.”
The left claw? Both claws hold weapons; the right claw of the raven holds a macana, which is a club studded with (sharp) obsidian. Not only that, the graphic indicates that the macana has been recently used (note the red spots under it, which may represent blood).
So, instead of a weapon and a symbol of peace, the graphic presented shows an eagle, which appears to be breathing fire, with two weapons. Yes, I too think that’s interesting.
“LA is as safe as it was in the 1950s — just ask the Mayor.”
Yep, it’s official.....I’m in the twilight zone.
The article said “even” bombs, as if that was surprising.
You as citizens have control over your city, local and state governments. You can demand they keep your streets and communities safe. Begin with that.
Helloooooooooooooooooooooo, yourself!
“LA is as safe as it was in the 1950s”
If a Leftie’s lips are moving you can bet that he/she is lying. LOL
“The 44-year old Chata, a mother of 13 kids and a Los Angeles City welfare recipient had been arrested 14 times since 1985.”
I suppose that’s 13 anchor babies. In my old hometown in Oregon last week, an anchor baby lost his life. His mother, in Spanish, told the reporter her son was a ‘good’ boy and had great dreams! He was a dropout at 14 and he and his 13 year old brother had been out ‘hanging’ with their buddies all day, drinking. By the middle of the night, he was laying in the street passed out wearing dark clothes....and guess what, someone ran over him!
Maybe you don’t comprehend English so well...
Do you have ANY idea how many Illegal aliens and illegal alien gangsters and gangs are in CA?
Obviously not.
WE CANNOT DEPORT ILLEGALS AND WE CANNOT SECURE THE BORDERS.
WE...DO...NOT...HAVE...THE...AU...THOR...I...TY!
Stick to what you know, whatever that is;
‘cause you obviously don’t know squat about CA and the problems we face with the MILLIONS of illegal aliens that are here!
gezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
the IQ level drops by the minute ‘round here!
50 percent of LA workforce are immigrants

LOS ANGELES, April 21 (UPI) — Los Angeles is at the leading edge of a U.S. demographic trend, with half of its workforce immigrants, many of them unskilled and speaking little English.
As baby boomers retire, the same pattern will emerge across the country, the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday. Demographers estimate that by 2025 most of the growth in the workforce will be from immigrants.
Ernesto Cortes Jr., Southwest regional director of the Industrial Areas Foundation, said Los Angeles is at a crossroads.
“The question is: Are we going to be a 21st century city with shared prosperity, or a Third World city with an elite group on top and the majority at poverty or near poverty wages?” he asked. “Right now we’re headed toward becoming a Third World city. But we can change that.”
The Migration Policy Institute used U.S. Census data to determine that one-third of immigrants have not graduated from high school and 60 percent do not speak English fluently.
Cortes, with former U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros and others, is to participate in a conference this week at the University of Southern California on how to train and integrate immigrant workers.
When you want to grow up and stop insulting people, then I’ll carry on a conversation with you. Until then, you’re not worth my time.
LA is lost as is CA. They should serve as an object lesson of what will happen to the rest of this country unless we can get immigration, legal and illegal, under control.

This Newsmax piece had it at 270K back in 2003! And, Mexico has the nerve to chastize us for having a death penalty.
I guess they prefer having their criminals return to them when they are in danger of being caught. That way, in order to extradite them, we have to promise not to kill them. Regardless of how many people they have killed.
That’s the other thing that got me banned: discussion of Resendez Ramirez and disputing the claim that ‘the only thing illegals do wrong is being her illegally.’
