Well, that is ALSO possible. Natural disasters or phenomenon can also effect Climate change. However, since Humans have only recently begin to engage in activity that really can have negative impact, there is a new force at work now that was previously not present.

So, you still believe in the CO2 drives the climate theory.
Why don't the observed data match the theory
1) CO2 lags temperature
2) The upper troposphere is not warming faster than the surface.
3) oceans evaporation is not causing heat trapping clouds.
4) The oceans have been cooling while for the last several years while CO2 has been increasing.
5) global temperature have been declining since 1998 while CO2 has been increasing.

So how many times does the CO2 drives the climate theory have to be falsified before you open your eyes.

There are NUMEROUS books, volume after voluem that have been published about his medical remedies. One example I already gave you. Back then when they didn’t have the concept of inserting metal nails for joint supported, this poor uneducated farmer told them EXACTLY how to do it, and they tried and the patient instead of facing amputation, walked out of the Hospital.

Even back then it was noteable enough story that NYT picked up on it.

Second, as far as “surface” goes, there are some rock formations near Bermuda where scientist do believe that they could be man made and they are in exact same location that EC indicated.

I would agree that 10 years is too short to base a relationship on. However, there are ice core data that shows that for the numerous rises and falls in temperature over millions of years (I can't recall - but I think the data goes back 10 to 100 million years) - in each of the temperature rises the CO2 amount lags the temperature. The temperature rises - then the CO2 rises. Additionally, the amount of manmade CO2 is about .25% of the total amount of CO2 put into the atmosphere. I showed this to my kids by putting out 100 pennies out on the table, with 1/4 of one penny painted white with whiteout and asking them “how much does that white mark change the color of the mass of pennies on the table?” (Not very much).

HOWEVER - I agree with you that Climate Change WILL be devastating. However - it also WILL happen no matter what we do. It hasn't changed much since about 5000 B.C. (huh - interesting that is when we were able to begin farming, societies, etc. as I recall). But - it will change. Some BIG changes may wipe us out. Changes of 40’ to 100’ increase in sea levels over 1000 years (about the max observed in the geologic record) would be devastating to economies, farming, etc.

I think that money spent on preparing for those changes (and for either warmer OR colder) is prudent. (Norway or Sweden just got their seed storage cavern going to keep the genetics alive in case of a disaster). But - to try to stop or slow down climate change - no way. Just like with earthquakes - we make our bridges stronger, try to get folks prepared, study their effects to be able to prepare more. But trying to stop an earthquake? No way.

Feller, if the earth has been cooling the last 10 years (it has), but warmed up slightly in the 1980s and into the 90s (it did), but was cooling in the 70s (remember the new ice age scare mongering), and the alarmists predictions of more hurricanes (now modified to be less hurricanes) did not come to pass, and the predictions of warming oceans null and void, and the loss of sea ice in one area being supplanted in other areas, why/who/what on God’s green earth are you putting faith in about global warming?

Those are good points. However, when was the last time Humanity put that many greenhouse gases in atmosphere? The pace is getting even faster now that India and China have come on line.

You think there is a built-in recycle filter that would take care of all of it and we have nothing to worry about?

I believe that there is a limit to everything and we are in danger of crossing the line. You can’t just use and abuse resources and have NO price to pay. There is always a cost.

We should not throwout some data just because AlGor likes it. His support means nothing. We should look at data independently and see if it has its own merit. Right now too many Conservatives are having a knee-jerk reaction. Just because AlGor is a jerk doesn’t mean its OK to have a knee-reaction.

I remember taking Geology as my science classes in college (at UT Arlington), and the professor told us about global warming and global cooling. The earth goes through normal warming and cooling cycles. Sun activity has a lot to do with it.

The last ICE AGE was 20,000 years ago when much of North America was covered with ice.

Democraps back then would have blamed the human race for GLOBAL COOLING, right??
