If Sadr does have control of his Mahdi Army then he is in deep trouble in Iraq because Mhis forces have targeted and attacked a major Shiite center - basically completing his path from opposition leader to traitor and enemy of Iraq:***********************snip************************
Missile hits headquarters of Iraq Shi'ite party
BAGHDAD, April 21 (Reuters) - A missile struck the central Baghdad headquarters of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council on Monday, said an official for the party, which is the main rival of cleric Moqtada al-Sadr for control of Shi'ite areas.
The official, whose party is the biggest Shi'ite group in the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, was unable to give any details on possible casualties.
Sadr's Mehdi Army fighters have launched missile and mortar strikes across Baghdad since Maliki ordered a crackdown on them a month ago.
Many of those missiles and mortar bombs have struck the Green Zone fortified government and diplomatic compound on the west bank of the Tigris river.
The Council's office is in the Karrada neighbourhood in the centre on the opposite bank. (Reporting by Peter Graff; Editing by Jon Boyle)

The Iranian provided missiles and rockets have shown ever increasing precision - so this may not be an errant strike but a full up attack on the Shiite council which have sided with Maliki and against Sadr. Sadr really is going to go for the traitors path. His father, a famous Shiite resistance leader killed by Saddam, must be spinning in his grave.
Sadr no longer targeting just American’s ...ping!
Who’s going to take out Fat Boy??
Sadr will just claim the US military did this to set him up. Like the 9/11 nuts.
What the average American always forgets is that these various Middle Eastern factions have been enemies for 1300 years. Think Catholics and Protestants during the Inquisition.
All we really have to do is support our allies and give the warring factions an appropriate nudge from time to time.... they’ll take care of our problems all on their own.
Sadr is like those pictures some at this site often include of Almadinajah screaming for us to nuke him. Then again. One could wonder just how much he is in control of his militia at this point. We have received variant views on this point over the past two years. He may not have anywhere as much control as one might expect. Any movement such as his has many levels of subordinates in which in this case may be taking independent actions based on orders directly from the Iranians.
