Heh...you’re really wrapping everything up into a neat little bow here. Too bad for you that freedom of religion also allows those of us that don’t WANT to practice religion the right to freedom FROM religion.

The Soviet Union was a COMMUNIST state. Now although your country is headed in that direction, you’re not there yet. But this coming election won’t make things any better.

State-sponsored and imposed religion is worse than secularism, and the founding fathers knew that. That’s why separation of church and state exists in the first place.

The Constitution doesn’t provide freedom FROM religion.

The state has already established a religion - psychiatry. The state uses it in court houses everyday.

No government in America REQUIRES you to be a Christian or any other religion. That is separation of church and state.

People who demand freedom FROM religion, if they are offended by the overwhelming Christian majority here, are welcome to their opinion. But no atheist or agnostic has the right to complain if the majority of us are religious, if we pray and post the Ten Commandments we believe in and build monuments with crosses, that is OUR right, and NO ONE can take that from us. Not Islam, not atheism. We didn't fight and die for 200 years for a Godless, secular country.

The minorities desire not to be exposed to religion does not give them veto over the majorities desire to. Minorities or only free not to participate.

Actually, you got part of this correct. The Constitution specifically forbade the federal government from interfering in religions, INCLUDING the official state religions. If you check the history, you'll find that the Constitution did NOT prohibit official state religions, and many states had them, long after the Constitution was ratified.
