I think it was kind of the judge to let them stay with their children. They may now lose that privilege.
I thought on one of the shows they said only 6 mothers opted to stay in the safe house with the children and the rest returned to the compound?
I suppose they are afraid they will try to coach the kids on what to say to CPS or the judge, or whatever. It’s probably pretty SOP for child abuse cases. I have always found that I could pray anywhere/anytime with anyone who chooses to listen listening.

Exactly! There is no precedent in mormonism that group prayer is required.
I bet the senior women are trying to get privacy in order to pass along orders from the "prophet" regarding what to say, when to say it, or not to talk at all. Who knows what other scam they will try...look for a phony illness to strike the women, or for them to come up with some religious reason their blood can't be drawn.
They will try anything, IMO.
