THERE IS A REASON!
Rocks and spears is what they got, and a lot of Kung Fu movies for instructional tapes.
But of course my real point was made before I decided to wax humorous about these primitive throwbacks.

The Iranian army commander says the country is equipped with highly sophisticated military equipment that has not yet been unveiled.I do not know about this so called sophisticated military equipment, but I was stationed at a pilot training base in Texas in the 70s. We had Iranian student pilots, learning to fly. What I DO know for sure is, these Iranians couldn't fly airplanes to save their collective rear ends.

Heh. I am an instructor in Florida and I would say that your observation is totally correct.
My fellow instructors and I have discussed why this is so, (Arabs in general being terrible student pilots) but irrespective of the reasons, you are right.
Still, the Iranian Air Force managed to clean Iraq's clock, sweep the skies, and gain air superiority over Iraq, all with very limited equipment and parts.

Yep. That platform will be the tougher nut to crack.
Probably stealth flights down low to dash in and take them out while holding a large force just out of combat range to keep them occupied.

Trust me when I tell you today, the Iranian army is equipped with highly sophisticated military equipment, which it does not deem necessary to display before the eyes of insiders or outsiders, said Major-General Ataollah Salehi Baghdad Bob, the former Iraqi Information Minister - now cabin boy to PM Ahmanutjob - in Tehran on Monday.

Is this secret weapon anything like the “magic keys” these military geniuses gave fourteen year boys during the Iraq War, telling them that if they were killed in one of their suicide charges, they would go straight to heaven? I guess their plan is wait in heaven and gang up on their enemies when they die of old age.
To: Holicheese
And after a week of lobbing missiles at aircraft that aren’t there (we got a few sophisticated surprises, too), their AA radars will be reduced to hot piles of twisted metal.
